Hey Wombat what do you think of the Bioshock Infinite trailer? Looks like they took your advice and changed the environment to the sky. Do you think this change for the game is going to hurt or help the franchise? But anyways love the show and listen religiously ever week. Love Cheapy D and "Boat Crash" too.

I think I may be one of the few who didn't like having Esteban on the show. He isn't the reason why I didn't like it (I really enjoyed having him on), it's the fact that with 4 people it seems very chaotic and like not everyone gets to say what they want. It seemed like there was a 30 minute period in which it was just Wombat and Esteban were talking, Cheapy saying "yeah" after their comments and Ship just being absolutely silent. It doesn't seem to flow as well as just 3 people, despite there being fewer "awkward" pauses.

And I'm glad that you managed to make this an enjoyable CAGcast (lots of humor) because with such a slow week for gaming, I didn't think it would be that good.

Agree, it almost seemed like Esteban had been podcasting with the CAG crew for a long time but sometimes Ship and Cheapy would stay quiet for a while. Really wish Esteban can be on the show again some time.

Hey Cheapy, you should try to throw a CAG reference in the voice work for Saints Row 3. Maybe something that doesn't give it away but only people who listen to the podcast would know where it's coming from.

Great show guys. I liked hearing Estabon chatting with the CAG crew. I'll check out his unofficial podcast later this week.

I saw the glitch floating around and was shocked when I saw it on Joystiq as well. I can understand that it is "news", but it definitely could have been edited a bit. Also, most of the comments on that post are against using it. I hope Joystiq addresses it in their podcast.

Secondly, I guess no one played Earthbound. They found a way to get smell into games.



The scratch and sniff cards came with the players guide (which came with the game). I seem to remember some adverts having these cards as well.

Innocent robot humor is my favorite kind of humor.

Was also good to hear Ship get passionate. Not sure how I feel about the issue but I liked hearing Ship's journalistic integrity.

Sleazy optional. Like a guy offering his sister for a "date".

Though the Call of Duty games are annualized I'd hardly call them shoved out since, unlike say Madden, there's big differences between each release and the games are of high quality. Hell, look at this week's most played games list on Major Nelson. Call of Duty holds the #1, 3, 4 spots. It's kind of insane when older entries in a series are still played that much.

Cheapy, thanks the info about IMDB. I'm on there as a producer for a short film I did there a few years ago. A couple of years ago I worked on an indie film that's gone on to get a lot of awards. The movie listed the cast but not all of the crew so I was thinking of updating it.

MW2 multiplayer has been a buggy, glitchy mess since launch and Activision is far more interested in selling map packs for an inflated price than fixing the bugs.

Wombat, the reason you love DQIX is because the producer said he was more inspired by Oblivion when they were working on the game. Maybe that's the reason?

I have no idea how there was absolutely no cross-talk at all on the podcast. With four cooks in the kitchen, you would think it inevitable. Great show this week though guys and Esteban was awesome.

Great show guys! This episode was really funny. Cheapy, you were killin' me with your Saints Row voices. Please try to get those in the game. Esteban was really good on the show. He seems like a real cool dude. You should have him on more often. He mixes well with you guys. I'll definitely be checking out his podcast.

Shipwreck, I agree with you on Mafia 2. I can't get excited about it. I played Mafia 1 several years ago and I thought it really sucked. It wasn't a good game. The driving was awful. I didn't even bother beating it. I was really surprised to see them making a sequel and seeing so much hype around it now, considering the first one was pretty lame.

As for the glitch story, the excuse that it's a news story so it had to be posted is just a big time cop out. Yeah it was a news story, but so is the announcement of a new Disney show DS game, but that doesn't mean it deserves a post (sadly, these sites do post those as well). They just covered the story wrong. You don't tell people exactly how to steal games. If they just had to post it, they should have left out names, the source link, and especially the method of going about it. Personally, I feel this story should not have been posted.

Kotaku once again proved they're a trash site. It must have been a slow news day and they couldn't find a celebrity holding a PS3 controller or something. I guess we finally found out what they're the "Gamer's Guide" to: stealing.

The Joystiq crew pretends to have some sort of journalistic integrity, but they're just like all the other blogs. McElroy is a hyprocite (as somebody in this thread pointed out earlier). The only thing these sites care about is page views. A post about how to get free games through a glitch is going to get a lot of page views.

It's good that Destructoid didn't post the story, but that doesn't excuse all the other terrible shit they post. They still suck ass.

As Wombat pointed out, I would love to see these guys do that to an EA, Activision, or Microsoft/Sony game. Like Wombat said, it would be down as fast as it went up. I don't think they would want to stop the exclusive stories, free trips, games, and game schwag from coming in. The company in question is an easy target, so who cares right? It'll give them another post and more page views if they ever file for bankruptcy. Then they can write a feature story on the fall of smaller game companies, asking just why is this happening? like they actually care.

Tomb Raider launching without online co-op is hilarious. A big time feature left out of the game for a few weeks is super weak. I don't think the game's going to do that well, even when it comes out for PS3.

I was told about the glitch by a friend, who showed me it on Metal Slug XX (at my house, on my tag). Feeling wrong about it after he left though, plus the fact it wasn't showing in my games list, and the fact I had fun playing the game and wouldn't mind owning it, I went and bought the game off the marketplace so I had it legitimately.

Since then I've come across some of these blog posts and mentions on various forums about the glitch, some are saying accounts get banned, some say that gamerscores get reset.

I'm just wondering if I'm likely to get punished? As the only game I tried it on, is now in my XBOX purchase history.

Also, the whole arcade trial glitching thing isn't that big of a deal to get annoyed about. It's not. It's crappy games that you can now get for free. So what?
