Information:

From http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/224046/batmans-butler-takes-time-off-to-be-your-search-engine/:
As part of the Arkham City marketing campaign, Alfred will be offering his services to web browsers everywhere via his very own search engine. The fully-functional search engine also hides a selection of content behind specific search terms, offering new screenshots, audio files and even the chance to win a special edition 360 console to those who uncover Alfred's secrets. The keywords you'll need to unlock the special content will be hidden throughout Arkham City's complete marketing campaign. Alfred will also leak clues via the Arkham City Twitter account as well as via Facebook and various games forums.

    Good day to you. With Master Bruce’s permission, I am offering my services on the internet. I have new Arkham City information, images and exclusive items that are only accessible from this site. And watch out for the tips I'll be posting on Facebook. You never know what each search might turn up. Alfred. http://www.facebook.com/xboxuk [hints will be dropped here]
    Note: The forum doesn't like bitly links. You'll have to link the long URL.

Well, I thought it might be of interest to those of us who get addicted to marketing campaigns such as this.

Found some fun/interesting stuff in the source files...

Also, http://alfredatyourservice.co.uk/js/src/Main.js contains the following code...
var konamiCode = [ keyboard.up ];
var enteredCode = [];
...but I have yet to figure out how to enter the Konami code.

This seems pretty cool, but how do you enter the giveaway? Does the winner see a special screen saying they've won once they search for a specific clue?

I haven't found any terms/conditions or rules. I'm assuming either the first to unlock a series of clues wins or a registration page is unlocked and it's a random drawing. I'm also starting to assume it's a UK-only contest.

I'll update when I get more info. In the meantime...free wallpapers?
I solved the puzzle (I think). How long did it take Alfred to be your BFF?
5 minutes or so, then maybe another 5 to get the code in an XBL message. Don't know how long it would take currently, I was one of the first to send a FR.

Yeah I think I sent mine about a half hour after you sent yours. It's been over one hour, still haven't been accepted >_>

There's a lot of search terms that lead to wallpapers and videos, most of them batman villains. There's some that appear like ads off to the side though, like a carpenter ad. There's no content for that one yet, but there could be later. One of them was for gotham casino and some nightclub, they both led to wallpapers.

I haven't gone out of my way to look up terms that aren't hinted at, but it's been mostly wallpapers and audio files for me. It was nice to be able to get in on the avatar costume this morning.
