If you've got a kid, this is a great kids game. It lacks depth for experienced RTS gamers though.

I'm always astonished this game still has such a high price tag.
I remember this game was touted as being Will Wright's greatest creation, the biggest thing to hit PC gaming in forever, and everyone has pretty much forgotten it exists. For all the hype it got, this game fizzled fast. |

Never played Spore, but it looks like it would piss me right off a la 'Black & White'. Oh my god was the the most overrated 'game' I've ever played in my life. You never actually 'did' anything in that game.
Though my interest in the magazine was already fading, PC Gamer's 98% for Black & White singlehandedly caused me to cancel my subscription I had previously had for 5 years. I'm definitely wary of games that get lauded for their 'innovative ideas' and other nonsense while the gameplay itself if unremarkable. |
