Shipping was under $3, so for $14, with the DVD copy and the 2D/3D BD, it's at my buy price. In 4 1.

One review I read summed it up perfectly...
The main character, the guy you are supposed to root for, if you took him out, it barely would change the movie.
He had no bearing on the film, the Gods did all the work and needed to save everyone's ass.
I don't even blame the lead, he did what he could with what he had to work with.
And back to the Titans. Watch the trailer for Wrath of the Titans. That may turn out to be a crappy movie but guess what? Those are Titans.
Not 5 foot grey guys standing around.
They should be the size of mountains.
Freida Pinto was the best thing in Immortals and that was it. The 3-D was pretty meh and the story was woefully undeveloped...seemed like half of it was Mickey Rourke mumbling, torturing or maiming someone. Not a fun time, and I also agree -- Wrath of the Titans looks far more entertaining.

I just got a surprise review copy yesterday --and I'm glad I didn't pay for this. I wasn't a fan of that washed out look of 300--but I didn't get any of that with Immortals. I thought it looked really good, and the 3D was used well to add depth to the scenes. But the story is a mess and they seemed to prefer making it artsy over making the story coherent. It got better in the second half and some of the battles were entertaining--just don't expect much plot-wise.

I think his reaction was "It's 6 bucks for a 3d blu, so do you really have to think it over?"

With starmask, you never know. He might have typed it, or read it, while the wind outside was blowing.

I tried to watch HUGO in 3D. I thought the 3D was great....opening scene with the snow was amazing. However, I found the movie horrible and I shut it off.

I, too wasn't all that impressed with the film--3D was nice, but found it kind of boring. Plus, I find it odd that I'm watching a 3D film praising all of these early films that have such crappy special effects--I just couldn't muster up that kind of enthusiasm.

It gets good towards the end. I liked it more with repeat viewings. It's a kids movie so judge it off of that.
