None of my accounts were increased, so it must be only newer accounts that are getting a bump.

I have three accounts. 2 new(ish) that are getting 20 points in searches a day, and my old account which is only getting 10 points in searches a day.

They clearly want to foster new users.

What are they going to end up doing?

Encouraging older users to abandon older accounts and create new ones. Rule Number One in promotions, never make your oldest and most loyal customers feel they are getting a worse deal than the new customers. Cable companies are having trouble learning this lesson....

this is a research program. not loyalty check. they want new rats in their labs. and they already learned everything from old folks
One thing to add: more and more new accounts that were getting 20 and 44 daily search points are slowly truncated to 8 daily points. i think what they are doing is checking how rewarding affects search quality and quantity.

WTF man, I've only BEEN getting 1pt every 1 search for 13 max per/day. Where the heck are you getting 44??? And why are so many people's pt ratios varying so much, why is there not a standard in place!?!

I'm thinking it's a promotion for newer accounts, but I'm not sure what "newer" is. My account is from last year and I'm still getting 10 points of searching.

I have my main account from 6 months ago, still getting 10 pts/day from searches. I also made 3 new accounts (on the same day) about 2 months ago. Two of them are getting 44 pts/day for the last 2 or 3 weeks and the other dropped to 8/day for some season. Don't know why, but I'm not complaining.

I just created an account two weeks ago, I have had four 44 point days this week alone. On top of that they also sent me an e-mail saying I was going to receive an additional 100 points within 30 days just because. I am at just shy of 700 points so far, working pretty well and should be getting myself a free copy of I Am Alive Shortly. : )

I don't know if anyone else experienced this but I've found that I can sometimes get 2-3 points more some days than the 10 they say I can have.

I've noticed this once or twice as well.

Yeah on my new account its been 40+points a day for the past two weeks now its 44 points. They also changed the instant referral points because of the abuse that it took now it seems you have to wait a week to get points added

I've been at 10 per day via searching, and the daily 3 extra credits.
