Yesterday, I redeemed all my points for an amazon gift card that put my balance at 0. This morning I logged on and it was magically at 10.

I've found that the random gibberish usually resolves itself I still have a bad feeling about it but I remember people telling me it's probably some caching thing of Bing's and every I notice it seems to come back just randomly disappears for a while.

5 points for stock quotes are back up.

Bing points work again. Just redeemed some codes.

All of my 44 point accounts got knocked down to 20. first world problems :(

Where are you guys seeing 5 points for stock quotes? All I've gotten for the past week or two is 1 pt for special offers and 20 pts/day in searches.

They appear only sometimes. You have to check daily for this. And there were none today

When ur done earning points bing or google msn money and click the bing bar at the top of the page to see if any points are available

I've been experiencing a weird problem lately, even after clearing cookies... where my points will reset to a previous number after completing searches. For example, one of my accounts was at 431 today, and when I should have been credited with my 20th point of the day, the counter when down to 434. Another account started at 72 today, got up to 80 something and reverted back to 80 once I completed the 20 points.

Anyone else have this experience?

Edit: Nevermind, logged into Bing with Firefox and the correct amount of points showed up... not sure why Chrome was acting weird.

Over the past week, I've lost about 10 accounts. I'm down to my actual account and one other. Anybody have recommendations for preventing my accounts from getting banned? I'm not exactly savvy, only precautions I used was Chrome incognito each time I log in, closing completely when i want to change accounts.

Well, running multiple accounts violates the Terms of Use that you agreed to when you signed up. Specifically: "Any sign up credit bonus is limited one per user." So don't expect a perfect fix.

Having said that, the way they're catching you is not through your cookies, it's through your IP address. You may be using multiple browsers, or even multiple computers, but if they all go out through the same internet connection in your house, then Microsoft knows that they're all you.

One possible workaround would be to have your cable modem or DSL modem obtain a new IP address each time you connect to harvest points. That is cumbersome.

Another would be to use an IP anonymizer. But that, too, violates the Terms of Use. Specifically: "You may not use any service intended to obfuscate your true IP address or your location."

However, it would not surprise me to know that Microsoft knows the address blocks that the popular anonymizers use, and therefore bans accounts hard.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I was well aware that it was violating ToS, but thought it would let me keep 5 (one for each person in the household). You think they pay attention to IPs when you log on, or just when you create the account?

I like free stuff as much as the next guy but I have to admit, I'm getting tired of doing the bing stuff. I may have to stop for a while.

It happens to me every day. I just assume it will fix itself eventually.

Ms really should fix that glitch but im sure they wont

If you keep tinkering with it, it eventually sorts itself out. Keep clicking, go to other sections, close the bing tab and reopen, go back later etc.

It's been a little bit of a pain to do every day this month, but all my points are accounted for.

Having said all that, today was the first time this month it worked perfectly for me, so maybe they fixed it.
