What's the words on the free guide? Any guide or only Kirby/Fallout guide? They are nowhere near $35 each, or do they mean we can get as many guides as we want as long as they add up to less than $35?

I'm pretty sure its a $35 value.. guide = $24.99, gift card = $10.00 == $35!

I am really excited about this deal. I'm going into BB with my preorder receipt, TRU ad and Premiere Silver card in hand. I am going to walk up with the game and guide and ask them to match. I will mention the $10 GC at first, but then I will back off if they are hesistant (its so freaking YMMV on PMing GC deals) and claim that I'm not so much worried about the GC b/c the RZ points of 500 will match that anyway. If they say no to everything, out the door, 2 minutes later popping into a TRU and getting the goods!

My local TRU already has the regular Fallout New Vegas guide in the back room, but not the CE version of the guide

Does anyone know if the Kirby $20 gaming credit at K-Mart can be used on the game you're already getting $20 taken off of? Cuz Sin and Punishment 2 for $10 would be awesome.

I freely admit not having read beyond the first page, however I was curious to know, did the Best Buy Halo Reach deal apply to in store as well?

While not as good as the Kmart offer, I just don't like Kmart :P , plus I think all the ones near me (understandably) closed down :P . Is this the same offer best buy had when the game was just about to come out? Or is it not as good?

Anyway, not sure what started this gift card trend, don't like that it's not an immediate discount and I have to buy something else after getting the thing at full price (granted, can't argue with the business sense of it).

KMart coupons cannot be used until the following week they're issued.

Talking It PAYS to be HONEST

A Story that Honesty actually Paid Off

Since the old Sunday Ad is gone, I'll post it here.

During TRU's B2G1F sale, I like many others decided to buy some games with a couple of place holders for some of the newer games.

One transaction I got paid in cash included: Medal of Honor, Red Dead Redemption, and Castlevania (FREE).

I go up to the counter and told the lady, she was probably in her late 50's, that I wanted to exchange 2 of the still brand new sealed games to for store credit since I didn't really care for them. She was nice and told me no problem, just hand over the 2 games (MOH and RDR) along with the receipt.

As she scanned the receipt, and proceeded to scan both games, she kept wondering why her computer screen kept flashing my FREE game, the Castlevania. She was also wondering why the game only cost $0 (apparently she didn't know of the B2G1F deal). She asked me if I had that FREE game with me, and I said I didn't, that I only brought the two I wanted to exchange for store credit. So she re-did everything again from scratch. She said that when she scanned the 1st game, everything in her screen looked fine, but when she scanned the 2nd game, her computer notifies her of the FREE game on the screen (basically it starts flashing). She asked me if I would like to exchange just 1 game instead of 2, and I said if that's the worst case scenario, then I'm fine.

I'm guessing she was a manager because she was able to override the system or something. She just told me since the game only cost $0 that she's going to go ahead and bypass this on her screen. But instead of giving me the store credit for the 2 games, she refunded everything in cash!

Looking at my receipt, apparently she wrang up that I had returned ALL 3 games, including the FREE Castlevania game, which is how she was able to refund me my money.

Feeling some sort of guilt, even though it's not my fault, and my conscience telling me otherwise, I went back and told her about the B2G1F deal, which is the reason for the $0 in the other game, and that I was content with just getting the store credit. She looked surprised and asked her co-workers about it, which they confirmed. After thinking about it for a second, she just told me not to worry and that she will still honor the original return, meaning I get to keep the FREE game. Her co-worker was actually happy about it too. Plus, an added bonus, since I was "honest" she gave me a 40% Off a minimum of $150 coupon (on certain items) good thru November! And yes, the coupon is good for video games and accessories (just not consoles).

So I get a FREE game with a 40% coupon. Now looking forward to getting a mess of $60 games that will just cost me around $35 each in the next few weeks with no limit on how many I can get! Which if you think about it, is much better than B2G1F deal since each $60 game comes out to $40 a piece for every 3 game limit.

Plus I can't wait to use my upcoming Rewards Certificates on these! More savings! Plus I got mad repped at that store! I think I'm set for Christmas.

It PAID to be honest.

I like the idea of $5 1600 points cards.
Or you could keep the coasters and have badass coasters and 1600 points for $10.

So, all I have to do is buy Halo Reach at Best Buy and I get a free $20 gift card? I was planning on getting the game for my nephew's birthday and this makes me want to go to Best Buy even more.

This TRU game guide deal for FO New Vegas better be legit. Im excited.
Still no confirmation as to whether its the real guide or some crappy pamphlet.
The guide I got with FO3 at Circuit City upon launch, was one of those 10 page, cheap, mini guides that only helped with the first 20 minutes of the game.

Someone please post on this thread as soon as they can confirm the legitimacy of the FALLOUT NEW VEGAS TOYS R US GAME GUIDE DEAL!!!

One guy I talked to who was a TRU employee told me that he had actually held the guide and that it was the Hardcover guide. And that it was sealed. But I'm going to call before I head out because it's like 20 miles away.

Larger Guide = CE Guide? I don't think there's a special guide for TRU.

Larger meant regular. I had just posted about the Kirby guide and was referencing the size of that.

Suppose If I buy the Fallout New Vegas for Playstation 3 at the Kmart store, then I will get Borderland GOTY for $35 from $30 off on a regular price. Am I right?
