anyone know how the dlc codes will be given out? the Best Buy ad just mentions that the codes will be given when purchasing the games. I went to a BB today to inquire about the codes as well as the B2G1 deal. The guy said codes are only for pre-orders and then said no more pre-orders the day before release day.

It doesn't make sense if that is the case since the ad started on the 24th with no mention of the codes being pre-order only. Will probably head to kmart and continue chaining coupons if I don't get a Fable III code (the codes for the other 2 games don't matter as much).

i am pretty sure the fable 3 code is in the box. just like the read dlc. Notice how all major retailer got a exclusive weapon and tattoo just like red dead did?

Really tempted on Red Dead Redemption (can't believe I missed this game for all these months); however, it feels like this game is primed to make a price plunge come this November. You guys think I should wait on this one?
Also, Amazon price matched Gamestop's price for Red Dead Redemption.

I'm gonna get "Smackdown vs. Raw 2011", but not sure where I should go and get it. Toys R Us offers a $15 Gift Card, which I can use for Toy Story 3 Next week. However, If I get it at Best Buy, they'll throw in Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for free as an exclusive. Both sale for the same price at both stores, just don't know which store to go with. What do you guys think I should do?

If you're just getting SvR11 then go to TRU for the GC. Bret will probably be DLC down the line. The thing is, BB is supposedly featuring an exclusive SvR11 cover art with Bret on the cover, so if you're a big fan of his (like me), I'd go to BB in that case.

I was at the midnight opening tonight, and while I didn't have an interest in Fable 3, I did notice that they were handing out cards with that game. Those cards had the DLC code on it.

SvR 2011 and Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 had their codes in pack.

But beyond that, there was a much bigger problem:

The Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal wasn't working properly in store. I tried to buy 2 copies of SvR 2011, and 1 of Force Unleashed 2. The computer wouldn't give the discount. The deal worked online but the problem in store was that it was limiting the games you could buy with the deal. The employees were saying that you had to buy 2 of the games at the very top of the ad, and then you could get any 3rd game on the page free. Yeah, that was the explanation I got, you had to buy 2 of these: Fable 3, Star Wars, Shawn White Skateboarding, and then you could get 1 of any other title on the page free.

This is not how the deal is supposed to work, but it's how the in-store computer was set up, at least at the Fullerton, CA store.

If you want in on this deal, I highly suggest you do it online. The deal works just fine online.

The Bret Hart cover art is for the Canadian version of the game only. Best Buy has no special cover, just the code for Bret.

Hopefully that gets fixed by tomorrow. I would just order online for pick-up, but I want to use my $45 worth of gift cards. The last time I put in the gift card online, BB didn't acknowledge it in the price I was charged and I spent an hour in the store disputing it. (In the end, my credit card was charged from both BB online and the BB store, so that was another headache that I had to deal with through my credit card company.) Not the best experience...

Is the Castlevania LE part of this deal? Online it doesn't have the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer".

Only the normal version was advertised this week, so the LE isn't a part of the deal.

Now maybe you could argue with Customer Service about it, but with the luck I had trying to get the deal to work with titles that clearly are part of the deal, I don't know how far you'd get. Very YMMV.

But hey, you might find one that is more receptive than I did...

Ugghh...I'm getting pretty worried now about the potential cluster this is going to be in-store. I would like to try getting 3 CE's (maybe 2x SWTFU and 1x Fable 3), but I can definitely see some kind of problem with this transaction.

If anyone's interested, I can confirm the Rock Band 3 + keyboard = $15 gift card at Best Buy works for PS3 in store no problem. Looks like the 360 only listing in the weekly ad was a mistake or a last minute change of heart occured.

just got abck from best buy and according to the store i was in the deal is only good on star wars fable 3 and shawn white. i was pretty pissed if this true for anyone esle can they please confirm or did i just get the run around.

Just did in store pickup for 2 Fable 3's LE and Force Unleashed II SE for in store pickup, i would've grabbed Castlevania LE but wasn't available as parts of the B2G1 Online.

Some guy pulled the old Mississippi half step and got into BB one minute before I did, then preceeded to grab the only 2 available Fable 3 LE's....

Thinking about doing the in-store pickup thing, but don't know if I want to drive 30+ minutes to go get them...the Fable 3 LE has re-appeared on Amazon, so maybe it won't be so rare.

The deal works online for the entire ad. On top of that, I was just at my local store and they had shelf tags for SvR 2011 and Star Wars that said they were part of the B2G1 deal.

Order online and pick up and you'll get the deal. In Store is screwed up.

By the way if you get the Fable III LE the codes are not in the game. I'm not sure about the regular edition but based on the Best Buy forum posts it looks like you have to ask for the card and hope the store knows what you are talking about.

Online orders will have their codes emailed to them as stated on BestBuy.com. In-store orders will have the codes there in the store. I have found that the codes will be cards that you should ask from the store.



This code is valid for all purchases. The preorder bonus code was for the Villager Creator. We'll hopefully have spares of those codes to help people that didn't get theirs. Stay Tuned!

Has anybody that gotten their BB copies of SW:FU 2 noticed if the front cover distinguishes if the game has the DLC code in pack between the ones that don't?
