Just announced: Dance Central 2 coming this fall! (From their twitter)


I was thinking it wouldn't be until next year since they don't really have any competition, but I'm sure MS wants it out before xmas 2011.

No real surprise since Harmonix tends to release their games in the Fall in general.

$5 to export all songs from dc to dc2 is great, wasn't it usually $10 for rockband?

Well, I believe DC only had 32 songs on disc. It was $5 for RB -> RB2, $10 for RB2 -> RB3, $10 for Lego RB, $10 for Green Day RB.

played a few songs from Dance Central 2 this week when I was visiting Mall of America.

Did the Numa Numa song on easy, VERY easy song but I didn't want to do it on a harder difficulty cause we were about to head to a movie.

My wife and I did a dance battle on "this is how we do it" very fun, 2 play dance battles work great.

I did another song the next day "technologic" very fun routine, will work up a sweat fast with this song.

Does anyone know for sure if you need the original dance central 1 disc in addition to the code in the instruction manual to import DC1 songs to DC2? Or do I just need the code and the 5$ fee? I would like to trade in dance central before its value plummets in the next few days.

I got Dance Central 2 this week as I'm reviewing it next week.

2-player is fantastic - you can play any song in multiplayer without picking a separate multiplayer mode, and both people get to use their own profiles and earn Achievements. The workout mode seems a lot better and has a lot of Achievements to keep you coming back to it. Menu navigation is much better, with the option to use a controller (YES!) or voices in addition to the already solid motion controls. Anyone who liked part 1 will love 2 as it fixes almost all of the first game's problems.

Dios, you do not need the first game's disc to export; just the code from the manual.

But I agree from playing dc2 the menus feel so much better.

DC2 got a 9.5 in the lastest OXM.

They said similar things, game is better than first one, 2 players works very well.

Haven't really read much about the career mode. I assume it's something like RB.
