Fry's Ads 11/12-16

Here's the entertainment software listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - San Diego, Sacramento, Austin, Houston, NV, AZ, OR, IL, GA), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. We have noticed that the Dallas Morning News and SJ Mercury News often run very similar ads. Also, the Chicago ads are often similar to the Seattle ads. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all four (DFW, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

It may seem like slim pickings now, but come Black Friday the situation may change.

I went at 10AM to Fry's Black Friday and it was so crowded there was an hour wait just to get in the store!! No joke there was a line of people waiting to get it since store already hit its maximum capicity.

Unless you leave like at 4AM and wait outside don't expect to get the really good deals.

I went to Fry's last year on BF and was hoping to score on their GBA SP deal. Got there 10 min after they opened and they already sold out. Had to wait in line for a couple of hours just to get some DVDs that I wanted.

I guess the past couple weeks' slim pickings are the "calm before the storm" of Black Friday. My Fry's (Woodland Hills) was packed last year around 10 a.m. but everything still moved relatively quickly. I was in and out of the store in about half an hour with everything I wanted, which is pretty good, all things considered. It's still the one and only time I've seen all ~64 registers open. That was pretty fun to see.

For those that have gone on BF (Black Friday) to Fry's, what did they have last year? I know it probably wont help me this year but I was just wondering to compare/know what type of deals they have.

Avoid Black Friday at Frys. The last one I went to was awful- I got there right when the store opened and not 20 minutes later the line wrapped around the whole freaking store.

Here's the rub. Typically, the BF sales at Fry's are a madhouse.

DVD and Game-wise, expect just a simple set of "3 for $40" for select games or "2 for $15" for select DVDs. The real money is on buying electronics and computer parts.

Yes, it will be a madhouse and expect to be in line for at least an hour or more. But on the plus side, they are usually pretty good about stocking massive quantities of the items they have for sale.

The closer it gets to the Holidays, the worse the deals at Fry's become.
