Through CAG, Wombat contacted Cheapy tricking him into thinking he was a big deal (at least how Cheapy tells it) and Shipwreck is just the uber collector gaming nut that provides a lot of content for the site. Yeah I've been around a loooong time here

Yeah, I remember the days when Shipwreck was just a regular CAG who used to comb the Deals forum (and in particular the old Gamerush thread)
 .Anyway, ferris, they couldn't really have been high school friends. If I have this right, there are roughly 5 years difference between Cheapy and Wombat, and then Wombat and Shipwreck (in order from oldest to youngest: Cheapy, Wombat, Shipwreck). Though maybe Wombat and Ship are a little closer in age. I dunno for sure, they are all youngsters to me .

Shipwreck was a traffic school teacher in Memphis during college, and Cheapy was driving through one night and got a speeding ticket in his Dodge, he was forced to take a traffic school class in the State of Tennessee to avoid rate increases on his insurance. Wombat was the State Farm agent that urged Cheapy to take the class as it would save him thousands in the long run.
