Well the controls are different on the PC and a bit better since you can obviously have more hot-keys and there is an overhead mode. The PC version I hear also had its difficulty raised due to not having as limited controls. With that said unless you are playing on the higher difficulty and pausing the game a lot, or just really like the overhead view, it isn't a big deal; though in addition to the overhead I think you can control the camera distance to some degree which I liked a bit better than the console versions where the camera is locked and I felt like it was just a little too close.
I played the game all the way through on the PS3, although I also own it for PC. On PS3 I had no major issues with the game, occasionally there was some slowdown but it wasn't bad, and the controls worked assuming you set up your tactics to handle things so you mainly just focused on controlling your character (although later in the game I was popping the radial menu up in combat since you can only have 6 abilities mapped for hot-keys). I think some of the achievements don't work exactly correctly on the console ports if that matters to you. Personally I'd say go for whichever console you want to play on. I mean the PC version is probably slightly better, but personally I'm more of a console gamer which is why I played through it on the PS3. |

I have it for the 360. I haven't had any issues (30 some hours in) other than a few freezes on my old console--and it got an RROD while playing so that was probably the console rather than the game.
I think it has frozen once on my new Slim 360. But otherwise, no glitches, graphics look good, controls are fine as far as this type of game on a console goes etc. |

PC version is a bit better than the console versions for the reasons laid out by icebeast.
But sitting on your comfy couch looking at a big tv vs. sitting in a chair at a desk looking as a small monitor is something to consider as well. |

I was debating this recently also. My problem was I wasnt sure how easily it was controlled on a console.
I got the pc version and personally I wasnt enjoying it because I didnt like the controls for it. It seemed overly complicated or something I couldnt quite put my finger on. My best friend has it on the 360 and she beat it like 5 times on even the hardest difficulty and she loves it, she suggested I might like console version better. I just got it on pc because it seemed like a game I could play on it easier. Has anyone else not liked the pc controls or found them not as easy to use? Or am I just doing it wrong? |
