I ordered because I don't want that edition. Also got the Grindhouse Blu-Rays.

I'll wait for the GH version. I'll take the added contents in a PH/GH package over than the original anytime.

Any opinions on the DLC? I remember heads here was saying some of it was pretty bad.

Yeah thats what Im hearing. I think Ill continue to wait for the vanilla version to go sub-10 or something.

Kinda want to take another whack at it at that price, but my previous experience with the game was been filled with nothing but frustrating glitches and freezes.

I played through it a month or so ago and didn't notice any kinds of technical problems. Maybe it's been patched.

I ordered one since the price was right. It just came in today and boy was I surprised. You know what I'm gonna say right? Yes I got the plat hits edition with all the DLC on it. I could not believe it myself.

Did you buy the PS3 version? I actually want the Director's Cut but its not specified in the listing.

I would love to know if the PS3 version is the new version with all the DLC from Amazon.

I finished playing the "Joe's Adventure" DLC not too long ago and it was one of the worst things I've ever experienced in a video game. I could not find any redeeming qualities in it. Everything that was great about Mafia II was thrown out the door with this DLC and replaced with wildly annoying timed missions which fall flat in every way imaginable. Some of the missions were OK, the more story focused ones, but are still pretty abysmal when compared to the main games missions.

I never played any of the Jimmy DLCs but they both look equally as bad. The only thing I would say is of any worth in the new edition are the extra car and suit packs. Some of the outfits are nice and the cars add some much needed variety to the driving in the game, of which you will doing a lot.

In the end, you really aren't missing out on anything truly worthwhile if you go for the original edition. Hell, some of the Car pack DLCs can be found on eBay for like a buck.

Just picked it up from the Amazon Warehouse Deals for $11.99 for PS3. Looking forward to playing it...going to put it to the top of my list as soon as I finish Crysis 2.

I thought that Amazon was clearing out the vanllia versions for $15 to make room for the platinum/greatest hits re-releases with the extra dlc. But it sounds like they are already shipping the newer 360 and ps3 versions (so $15 is a good deal for those interested in the extra content)

ordered mine and will be here by friday. Hope I get the GH version
