If you're luckily enough to find a preowned copy, GameStop is selling it for $6.99. As there's no store remotely around me with a preowned copy, I think I may jump on this one for DS.

Nobody cares. That's fine. I'll just go order my own copy and spend all night with bleeding eyes matching things. So there.

Thanks for the heads up - I've been looking for a deal on this game.... though looks like a game stop near here has a used one in stock that I'm going to see if I can get first.....

You are still my hero!

It's pretty rare for me to buy games, unless I'm having trouble finding it preowned. No GameStop within 30 miles has The Quest Trio, and I can't seem to get it from CAG or Goozex. So I went ahead an ordered a copy. I'd rather have the PC version for better graphics, but it would be easier for me to trade a DS game on CAG than a PC game.

But yeah, if you can get it for $6.99 from GameStop, by all means.

Long time no see, Captain!

Yeah, it's just not one of those easy games to find cheaply. GameStop doesn't even sell new copies anymore.

I got this on clearance at Target for $7.50 I think. Anyway, it's a great casual game. I've put at least 50 hours into it so far and only took it out of my DS because I was getting obsessed and seeing falling gems in my sleep.

Nice score on this one.

Some other puzzle game love:

Puzzle Kingdoms can be found real cheap at GS. Part of the game is just broken, wandering the map and building an empire--they took out the part of the game where you had to defend the areas you conquered, and the "brokeness" of it shines through, BUT (its a big BUT) the puzzle matching is awesome. The art sucks too, but they improved the quick play mode by giving you random characters to play with, rather than having to use the one you created in story mode, and it can be crazy fun.

I don't know if the DS version of Tetris Party Deluxe is any good, but the Wii version is friggin amazing--it does all the things right that all the other puzzle games do wrong. My wife likes casual PC puzzle games, and I have probably spent $40 buying cheap ass Wii puzzle games to get her on the Wii--but many of the puzzle games on the Wii are essentially broken in some way, poor play options, not enough modes, poor interface, confusing game mechanics--its amazing how some companies just can't deliver a quality product when they have a good license (Puzzle Kingdoms, Bust-a-Move). I finally broke down and spent $29 on Tetris Party Deluxe for Wii and I am playing it online as much as I am playing Call of Duty--its crazy addictive.

Rooms for DS and Wii is a good one to find too.

I can second Puzzle Kingdoms. The graphics are messy on DS, so I'm hoping it'll go on mega sale on Steam, like it did at some point in the past. Then I'd buy it again if only to play the likely superior PC version.

I have the Wii version of Puzzle Kingdoms too (it was so damn cheap) and it is what initially hooked me. Its a "slide" to match-3 game.

If you ever want to write a dissertation on bad DS stylus interactions Puzzle Kingdoms should be there. When you touch the map in story mode, rather than the map moving and centering where you want to go, it goes half-way across the globe to someplace where you aren't even playing. Text is clickable, but the button shapes around the text is not. Art suck in general.

Most of these problems are not in the Wii version, and still a lot of fun if you can snag it cheap.
