Quick question. Any easy way to get a used or refurbished windows phone just for achievement games? I'm assuming I can download games over wifi with no phone service.

Ebay, Craigslist. With CL you'll probably have to search for the phone names themselves and not Windows Phone 7 / WP7

Vote for one of April's DotW's.

I voted for Zombies on teh Phone, hope either that or Doodle God win. I really hated the controls for Earthworm Jim, hopefully that one doesn't win.

I got mine off Craigslist. I have never used it as a phone. Only use it to play XBL games.

I will vote for zombies too. Earthworm has been on sale and the controls were just bleh. I buy every title that is DOTW, except two. One being Earthworm because the controls were just bad (not a game for touchscreen really), and the Brain challenge title because broken achievements.

I kind of like this weeks DOTW. I am still waiting for PvZ, de blob, and Tiki Towers.

I'm exactly like you. I got my phone the week ilomilo was DotW, and I've only skipped 4 so far (The Sims, Earthworm Jim, Cro-Mag Rally, and Brain Challenge. Would have skipped Sonic at $4.99, but I got it at $2.99 when they mistakenly dropped the price too far.) Only games I paid full price for were Star Wars Cantina and Battle for Hoth (because they were delisted but still available through Zune), Angry Birds, and PvZ.

My most wanted include de Blob, Rocket Riot, Max & the Magic Marker, OMG, Doodle Jump, Zombies!!!, Let's Golf 2, Z0mb1es, and Doodle God.

Funny. Sounds like we came in about the same time. I missed out on Rocket riot. I did manage to pick up max and the magic marker, and OMG. I love both of those titles. Fruit ninja was my first purchase. That and angry birds are the only titles I paid for that was not DOTW. I still have one game I haven't even tried out yet, it is the zombies title that was a DOTW last year. I think it is a tower defense type title.

De Blob, Fragger, and PvZ are the three I almost bought full price many times now. I am trying to be patient.

Zombie Attack! 2. The game is actually fun, except that to play one level or challenge takes probably 20-30 minutes. Not exactly condusive to mobile, pick-up-and-play gaming. A few easy achievements though.

I've at least tried all the games I've bought, but I've barely touched Assassin's Creed HD, Castlevania Puzzle (stuck on a boss), Implode!, Puzzle Quest 2 (intimidated by it's length), and Battle for Hoth (it kinda sucks).

Regrets are Battle for Hoth, Jet Car Stunts WP, and Enigmo.

Voted for Zombies even though I bought it at full price, either way I think it is worth it for some mindless fun, plus it makes me feel better about never buying the indie game version on the 360. The achievements are tough though so if that is your thing good luck on getting 200/200 out of it.

Speaking of achievements, why do developers make the achievement list unavailable in many of the trial versions on WP7? I'd like to at least browse them quickly in game without having to look them up in the browser. It would probably influence me to make some impulse purchases of games as well. Doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

Glad to hear you voted for Z0mb1es.

And I 100% agree with you. Same thing happens on PSN games, no way to view the trophies until you buy the game or look them up online. Would be way easier to just be able to browse them in the trial, and like you say, may lead to a few more impulse purchases.

Doodle God is ahead of Zombies now, wow. I'd probably rather have Zombies, but Doodle God seems cool too.

It's very interesting learning the philosophy that goes into making bullet hell shmups. I strongly disagree with most of his opinions and I really don't think someone who doesn't even like games should be making them, but I'm grateful at how helpful they were in responding and providing the assets I asked for.

I have barely touched Assassin's Creed and Castlevania Puzzle, and Puzzle Quest 2 too. I played the heck out of Implode however. I didn't think I would really like it but once I played a few levels I was hooked. Really enjoyed it and like the aspect you can creat your own levels. Wish I could share the levels. that would have been nice.

I hope Zombies wins or put zombie and doodle both on sale next month! Along with De blob! Hehe.

I am looking forward to the EA titles such as Mirrors Edge. I have it on my ipad and it is better than I thought it would be. I don't know how well Madden would transfer to toucscreen (haven't tried it), but that would be a nice addition to WP if done well.

I am really wanting the Nokia lumia 900 that launches April 8th. Too bad ATT service is ok in my area. :(

It's cool to be able to download trial versions via the marketplace. I haven't paid for anything yet, but I'm considering the following games:

I spent a lot of time with Sallys Salon LE lately. Nice title. Rise of Glory is ok, but I am not into flight games personally. Max and the Magic Marker is a goody! I will check out My ContacTile-

Zombies on teh ph0ne is amazing game. Everyone here needs to buy it asap; $3 for 3 games and even cheaper if it goes on sale.

Anyone here with the game would understand my frustration right now.. Last achievement, complete the main game without dying...
