Cracked disc? CoD: Black Ops
I bought Call of Duty Black Ops when it first came out in november, and they come in them eco-friendly box that in my opinion sucks, well back in march the game started making this clicking sound while inside my xbox, and to my curiosity I decided to take it out and theres a crack starting from the inside of the disc going outward, now I like my games new sealed condition so I dont want to rent and replace disc from gamestop, etc. I was wondering what is the best store to take it back and get a exchange without receipts or questions asked or could I go to best buy where I originally bought it from and buy another copy brand new and then come home and switch out the disc and return it for a refund or does target do that? Appreciate the help! |

You return it to the store you bought it from. Duh. What you're asking about is return fraud which is illegal and now nobody here is going to like you for bringing it up.

It might be better to write to the manufacturer; though you could be SOL since it's past 90 days.

Please don't dabble in return fraud. If anything, you might have to buy another copy, but I'd rather you do that than commit a crime.

I'm guessing that, when you take the disc out of the case, you pull it up on one side instead of pushing down the center plastic holder.

okay, here's what you want to do... throw that disc in the trash if it's unplayable (depending on how big that "crack" is) and go buy a new copy.

Write to the manufacturer.
Or, take it back to where you bought it and tell the truth. Next time, replace the POS eco-case when you get it. It's not that hard. You can even get Xbox green cases from usplastics.com. And be careful taking your discs out of the case, for cryin' out loud! |
