Headset recommendations?

I'm looking for a cheap headset (Xbox 360) that I can expect to last me a long time and it needs to play game and chat sound through it. I have tried multiple turtle beaches and all of them sucked imo. If you guys know of any thing please tell me!

what is your definition of cheap? Turtle Beach x12 are really good with very clear audio and good deep bass and chat audio is very clear too. They got for around $50 on Amazon

Cheap for me would be $50 max. I will look into the X12 and anything else posted here. Thank you!
