^Those cases do look terrible so glad I bought the Deluxe Edition when it came out, haha. Any one who hasn't played the game yet should definitely give it a try, has to be one of my all time favs.

For anyone's whose purchased this, does it come with a Not for Resale UPC? I'd like to try it and then trade it in to Amazon if I'm not a fan.

Was wondering about why everyone wanted this soundtrack. I'll continue to wait. Although completely OT if you do like soundtracks the Sucker Punch soundtrack is awesome!

Get a $60 game on day one for as low as $10?!

Anyone who owns a PS3 and does not own a copy of this game should get shot.

I'm normally a pacifist, but this is a statement I can get behind.

The stand-alone game is selling for $19.99

This game + soundtrack is actually few bucks cheaper.

That's what I was thinking.

DANG it people! I'm leaning towards just breaking down and buying it...but a game everyone goes on about "it's great because it's super hard!"? And the Giant Bomb guys don't like it... I don't know.

Guess the sequel is multiplatform, and weirdly Atlus that spent the money popularizing it here can't afford the rights to the sequel? That kind of sucks...I mean I understand how it happened, but it kind of sucks for a smaller publisher to take the risk, and then lose out to a larger one for the sequel that's only coming because of their work and risk :-/

I wouldn't say that it being difficult is the only reason that it's a fantastic game, that's just one great aspect to it. It's the core gameplay that's so damn satisfying.

It's not often that I replay games since my backlog is so ridiculously huge, but I've beaten Demon Souls four times and had to pull myself away from it.

Its a deep, rewarding game. One of the more memorable games I've played.

But make no mistake about it, this game requires a hefty investment of your time and patience. If you don't have the time or patience to really get the most out of this game, I think you'd be ok passing on it for now.

If you're looking for a deep, rewarding experience, however, and you do have the time to put into this game, its a no brainer

Damn it, couldn't SOMEONE say it sucks?

The being hard being great thing I can't fathom. I've never played anything that I liked because it was hard-always despite it, assuming I was still able to finish it. (Most recent super hard game that I actually liked was Viewtiful Joe...though I'd have still preferred it by half as hard...I do not like hard.)

The way it uses internet connectivity sounds unique.

Hard to know for sure. My patience with games is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY lower than when I was a kid (ironically, since they always act like kids don't have patience).

But on the other hand, if something really grabs me I can just sync however much time into it. Like Deadly Premonition-LOVE that game to pieces, and I was doing...well, not all, but maybe half the optional stuff, and just so engrossed in it. So it's POSSIBLE something can grab me like that.

If only it were like $8 or something I'd go for it for sure

Then ironically it might turn out to be like Deadly Premonition, where I'd have gladly paid $60 for it...after learning how good it was.

It takes a lot for me to dislike something. I like so many different types of games so I for sure thought I would like this one after all the praise I had read on here and the Amazon reviews the last time it was on sale over the holidays.

One of the more recent reviews I read sums it up perfectly for me "I don't have the patience for this type of game". I really don't and it isn't so much a "hard' game because it isn't, a lot of it is just pointless to me. Not to mention this game is filled with exploits and that is a huge negative to me. More power to everyone who has the time to push through this aggravating mess of a game though.

It's not a good hard. It's a terrible, pointless, trial and error hard.

Seriously, don't waste your time.
