Got some not-so-nice price drops on my trade-ins today.

8MB Memory Card - 0.50
Official Nintendo Controller - $4.00

I'm sorta bummed that I got socked for a refurb fee on a gamecube system because it was a little "dusty" (which was bs since I wiped it down pretty good), if I had known they were going to do that I would've given GS a controller that actually needed a button unstuck rather than a nice one...

Edit: Mainly though I wanted to warn folks about the ps2 memory card drop, these definitely aren't as good as they used to be!

Gah, if only I had money...I'd be willing to pay at least twice what GS is paying for most of this stuff.

Once again at GameStop I was assured by the employee that the 40% is available to ONLY those with the real, physical coupons. He said they're supposed to give them out this weekend to anyone who purchases a used game (although from what I've seen, they never remember to give you one so you have to ask yourself). Not only that, but it's supposed to be 1 per person. So even if you recognize the same person making another purchase, you're not supposed to give them an additional coupon. After this weekend, they're supposed to throw them all away.

I managed to snag 4 so far. I'll probably use most of them myself since BBV may have the B1G1 during that week as well, but we'll see. If I have any extra, I'd gladly ship them to anyone at cost. Although it'd be easier to just pick one up at your local GS with the B2G1

Yeah same here especially if someone has some Gamecube controllers or something.

I think I said this earlier in this thread, and I know we have a trading forum, but it would be nice to have a thread where people say what they are gonna trade in before they trade them in so people can grab the stuff from them. Because I usually have an idea of what Im trading in a few days before I actually do it.

I sometimes don't catch the promo changes quickly so having it editable is nice. This is also the first time something like this has happened.

The trouble with gamecube controllers is that I'd do no better than what Gamestop pays even at $8-9 shipped. Plus GS is more convenient.

Yeah i hear ya man, its just Id rather sell something to CAG and get cash/Paypal, but I certainly understand why people/me trade the games in to Gamestop. It helps now that Best Buy takes tradeins and make it easy to flip the GS credit recently. Thats one of the reasons why Im throwing it at Gamestop.

I checked on Amazon about values recently, and it looks like it's best if you sell it there. The thing is going for obscene prices. It appears the wheel is out of production and suddenly valuable.

Yeah I saw it was about $24 on amazon. Was hoping for a bit more. Hopefully you're right about them being valuable. I don't see them anywhere. I may be better off waiting until the next big racing game, I guess Forza 4 comes out relatively soon. Thanks for the response.

See. More "valuable," right? When I checked a few days ago there were more obscene prices like $300. I guess it dropped closer to what you would've paid retail for a new one back then. But, they're definitely out of production and people still seem to want them. The reason I can see the price being so high is because the MadCatz one lacks force feedback and can't use the regular Xbox rechargeable batteries. On top of that, the only other "affordable" option is that unreleased motion-sensing wheel Microsoft has shown off at E3.
