Seems like a lot of CAG's love music threads, but there doesn't seem to be "that one" music thread, so here's one!

Basically, this thread is for talking about all things music. Any Genre. Any Artist. What you're listening to. Playing music. Going to concerts. You name it. This is the place to discuss it all.

To start us off...

I've loved this song since the first time I saw Junior Senior perform it live on one of the late-night talk shows(can't remember which one). Every time I hear it I can't help but sing along. It's just one of "those" songs. The great thing about their "D-D-Don't Don't Stop The Beat" album is that every track on it is just as much fun to listen to as "Move Your Feet". The music video for "Move Your Feet"(which is on the CD) is done entirely in an NES 8-bit style.

Also, did anyone pick-up the new Foo Fighters album? I've heard nothing but good things about it and the video for "Rope" is pretty damned good.

Dilligner Escape Plan was here last Sunday as a headline show in a small club, but I didn't want to drive two hours to Colorado Springs to see them because I hate Colorado Springs and...I didn't want to drive two hours. Does this make me a bad person?

Also why does it surprise me A Perfect Circle sold out Red Rocks here in literally a week?

Nah. A two hour drive each way is a fair reason to take a pass on going. If it was a half an hour each way, maybe.

Usually I am not a fan of the more mainstream newer rock of today (just because I don't think it's well produced and sounds generic), but I always have loved the Foo Fighters for some reason or another. After giving this album a few spins, I really love it. I recommend the purchase highly.

Actually I found out that they did their whole album on the Late Show if you want to hear it live. http://www.cbs.com/late_night/liveon...ighters/video/

1 year ago today Peter Steele (Type O Negative) passed. My favorite band.

The last 10 seconds of this cracked me up, it was filmed just like a year or so prior to his death. I know many people will find it sad/morbid/disturbing or whatever, but it's totally the TON style of humor that a lot of people don't get/"don't think is funny." Oh well, 'em.

Girl Talk is pretty great in concert and I've really enjoyed the last couple of albums.

I don't know how familiar you guys are with a game series called Touhou, but if any of you like instrumentals, it's worth checking out the music scene for it (there are vocal songs as well, but the ones I've heard are not as good). All the original tracks are done by a guy who goes by the name of Zun, but there are tons of bands out there who do their own twists on his originals. Metal, Jazz, Techno, etc.

I'm more into the metal aspect of it myself, but some of the more popular ones (from what I can tell) are Demetori (I recommend them personally), Iron Attack, South of Heaven, and Knights of the Round.

DMC

Demetori

Iron Attack

I Guess, but Dillinger thrives in small venues. I Just can't get over the weird feeling of guilt in not going. Though lemons to lemonade I would've saved myself at least $60 after paying tix and getting merch and gas and such.

Also these days I've just been listening to Horrorpops.

With gas prices the way they are, I'd say $60 is a conservative estimate. You probably saved much more than that by not going.
