So far this year I've pm'd Sly Cooper coll, MVC3, LBP2, DAUE, Two worlds, lego SW3, homefront, DS2(twice), Bulletstorm, COD BO & fight Night never had a problem & only 4 were at the time of purchase.
I'm still not quite following (since refer to Shrike's post below) which I believe makes Mortal Kombat $50 because of the gift card that isnt returnable. If they were to PM Mortal Kombat at a later sale date to $40 you would only get the $10 additional price adjustment/discount is what I was thinking all along since your value is $50 not $60 (the $10 GC you keep).

If you return the PS3, you're only getting the retail price - $50 back for the return. Gift cards aren't returnable, so you're not getting that money back.

I was disappointed that I missed Brotherhood when it was $30. Now, the price drops even lower right on the very day (my bro's birthday) that I needed it originally. Nice!

I've gotten the full value back. Halo reach came with a $20 giftcard and $10 pre-order bonus last sept. I bought 3 copies and price matched them down to $40 each.
You can ALWAYS get the giftcard value back as long as it's UNUSED. It's no different than Target except on Target's actual receipt states that "in order to get a FULL return you must return the unused giftcard". I won't be able to post the Crysis 2 price match receipt until the sale starts on Sunday so
I'll post the scenario on the BB forums page so Kyle or Allan can confirm so there's no confusion & post their reply on this thread.

There's a "Yes you can return the gift card too to get the full amount back" response already.

Target stores will not have premium editions for MK but can be ordered online (Target employee).

Are we 100% sure that their are 500 RZ pts preorder bonuses for preordering Mortal Kombat, SOCOM 4, and Portal 2? I have checked the RZ site, BB Gaming site, and the in store kiosks regularly for the last month and have seen no mention of that what so ever

For anyone interested in just getting 1 of these games and not going to bother price matching, or can't get the PM from TRU to work, there is a new set of 10% coupons that came out(text RZ to 332211). They don't work on new release DVDs, but they DO work on new release games, as I've used them before a few times. So, if you pre-order a single game now, you get the 500pts, then use the coupon to get the game for 53.99, then get the gift card. Not a bad deal without the hassle of the YMMV PM.

Will those coupons work with the $10 gift card promo? I tried with Crysis 2 and they said it couldn't be combined with any other offer

The portal 2 offer was the only one listed on the gamers club site. Listed under "get earning" tab at the top of the screen, then click "offer and promotions" & finally short by "gamers club" it's the only game listed.

The other games have been listed on CAG thru the link below

The 10% coupon won't work on the giftcard offer w/o cancelling the giftcard altogether. Would req. a YMMV manager overide.

Does anyone know off hand if pre-ordering a game in store locks in a price? Right now Portal is listed as $54.99.

My concerns are:

1) Preorder online for $54.99. Go to instore pickup and get game. Game being sold for $59.99 at launch. In order to get $10 GC, game has to be returned and rebought (all 3 best buys here always do it this way when adjusting or PMing BB.com sales). Game then is rung up at $59.99 with $10 GC. Basically, losing out on $5.

2) Preorder in store for $5. Go to instore pickup and the game launches at $59.99 instead of current price of $54.99. Again, losing out on $5.

Either way, just $5 but hey....CAG, right?

Of course, if it's being sold for $54.99 on Tuesday then there is no problem. So if the OP or anyone in the know is aware of the price on Tuesday or if a kiosk preorder locks in a price....then we're good.

Hope someone can decode that

Thanks

What is interesting is that the listing on the best buy forums from the rep there is a 'complete' listing but doesn't include Portal...which is the only game that actually does show up on bb.com or the rwz.com

Anybody know the answer to this? It's $90 now, with $30 off, it will be $60... The extras probably worth $30 (the other $30 is the KZ3 game itself). I don't know, it's still a lot of moola for this HE.

Does anyone know if we can use the 10% coupon good until 4/18 that's valid on regular priced items? It would be nice on the SOCOM4 bundle, $15 off! But the game comes out on 4/19

If you don't mind used, Family Video already has AC: Brotherhood for $20 in store.

You must be a RZ member though it's free also join the gamers club also free when you pre-order the game the cashier can get you started all you have to do is setup the rest online. These points don't post until after 35 days the exchange/return period that way people don't use the points & return the game.
Thanks!

So I just pre-ordered Portal 2 on BestBuy.com with in store pickup as the delivery option. When I go to the store on Tuesday, will I also get the $10 gift card deal? Has anyone used in store pickup on a pre-order before, I'm curious what to expect.

edit: Looks like naf and I have the same question.

Anyone else find it odd that the DSi & DSi XL have a spot in the ad, but not the 3DS?

Thanks for the updates. I had never used these coupons when a game had a gift card attached to it. Now I have to re-think things.

And the coupons are good till the 24th, to those who asked. It was a silver member text I got, though, so I don't know how it is for regular, but everyone says the silver code works even if you're not a silver member(unless they just changed it).

Earlier, someone said you only earn Gamers Club promotions when you pay in cash. That is incorrect.
