That pretty much sums it up....I know there's 1 thats part of the quest line and I think there was 1 more but I think that was on my part. I kinda sped through the beginning.

Also if you want the Gamestop exclusive edition for the extra content, the code in there has an expiration date of Jan. 15. Considering Ubisoft enforced the expiration on the bonus content for the CE of Brotherhood, expect the same for this.

Could anyone please confirm that the UPC of AC:R from Walmart (with the exclusive Brutus Armor) is the same as the one from Amazon? The Walmart UPC is 0 08888 36684 3. Thanks for any help.

Finished this the other day. 18 hours for 81% sync. It wasnt as big of a game as ac2 or brotherhood- no horses or guild missions, but it was fun.

Got it from Amazon for $35. I'll post my thoughts after I play for a few hours. I loved the last two games so I'm looking forward to it.

My favorite is still Assassins Creed 2. Lots of weird stuff and killer ending. I can see where this is all leading up to, but I am sad if this is really the end of Ezio's story like Ubisoft says. Ezio beats Altair hands down, to me. And let's not even talk about Desmond.

Played all these games and somehow the worst gameplay elements are in this game. I hate horse carriage fights and den defense. Whoever came up with these ideas should be fired on the spot. I'd rather ride the freaking horse like in past games and even do horse missions if need be as long as there is no den defense or horse carriage fights.

Really sad there were no hidden glyphs or puzzle solving in this one. I liked the whole Illuminati/templar/conspiracy stuff. I prefer collecting Animus stuff to feathers. Even though I always collected 100 in all games, it was weird for an assassin to collect feathers.

I think they are too focused on multiplayer and added gameplay stuff. Neglected a lot of story and could have done more.

Still buying the next one.

hands down ac2 has been the best, and ezio is really a great character for a franchise, and now he's done... sadly there isnt any good ending/closure for such a good character as ezio, he just kinds of goes away as a sidenote at the end, you can guess he quits the assassin guild n hitches that redhead

^Did you not watch the Embers movie? It is meant to cap off the Ezio story.

Anyway- i missed the horse stuff- and I HATE tower defense- but if you played right, you never had to experience it beyond the first demo of it. That said, i did spend probably 6 hours focusing on my assassins to get enough of them to lvl15 so i wouldn't have to with it.

I also don't have any problems with the buggy sections.

I like Constantinople a lot; it feels very fresh. I'm about three chapters in now and stabbing people is just as fun as ever. So far it feels a lot like the last game though. I think after playing Skyrim it's gonna take a lot to really wow me with an open world game; at least I know AC wont glitch the out though. I gave my dude a purple cape so he looks like a total pimp daddy.

So just finished the game the other day. Didn't even really realize I was getting that close to the end. The main storyline seemed extremely short. I even spent a lot of time building up my assassins and didn't feel like I was doing too many "Memory" missions, then all of a sudden I'm on sequence 9. Maybe because of the lack of Guild missions?

I guess AC2 and AC:B spoiled me. Guess I'll hit the multiplayer a bit.

Ventured out to Best Buy today and found out that "new" Assassin's Creed: Revelations no longer includes Assassin's Creed 1, at least no longer have that small logo. Guess the inclusion REALLY is limited time offer.

I didn't like any of the new additions to the series:
- Bombs: Completely worthless, and the Missions you use them for are arbitrary. There are also like 4 or 5 Trophies that require their usage. Idiotic.

- Den Defense: I only did this twice; the tutorial and the tutorial for the Trophy. Having it hang over your head for the entire game sucks. Once you get 7 MA's, the burden lifts and the game becomes immensely more enjoyable.

- Desmond Sections: These are truly the worst gameplay areas I have ever seen in any game. Even Superman 64 in its' broken-ass controls had a purpose and made more sense in context. Just...crap, absolute crap.

- Mediterranean Defense: Getting money from Assassin Missions in Brotherhood was cool. But again, having something hang over your head just sucks the fun away. That's the problem here, and you can never really let this one go away. I hope they scrap it for the next one. It's just not fun.

- As for the story It REALLY sucks there's no finality to Ezio's life in-game. It's just aggravating and kind of insulting to people who've played every game.

I'd have to say I agree for the most part. I liked the bombs, however I did not like how it almost seemed like you were forced to use them to complete some missions. Something like that should be used to enhance gameplay, not drive it.

As I said before, the main storyline missions seemed to go by so quick. It was like they took too much off the story in order to add in some side stuff, but there weren't even that many side missions.

I did not like how I had to search online to find the ending to Ezio's story and it wasn't just included in the game like you said.

I still haven't even opened my copy, but it sounds like the milking has finally paid its toll on the franchise. And now 3 is coming out this year? Yeah, Ubisoft can off.

Thought I'd share this little tidbit for kicks - on one of the rewards sites I've been poking around on I got picked for an Assassin's Creed survey regarding ACIII. One of the portions was "Please select your 3 most preferred settings for a future Assassin's Creed game:" and the options were...

- The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England
- The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan
- The Vikings' voyages to America in the 11th century
- The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution
- The fall of the absolute monarchy during the French Revolution
- The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China
- The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during the American Revolution of the 18th century
- The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors
- Joan of Arc's battles & rise of the Black Death during the Hundred Years War
- The rise of the Buccaneers and Pirates in the American Eastern Seaboard

Some hints to the future of AC multiplayer in the survey too making it sound like they may be adding support for some sort of large scale "clans" that you can join and more team vs team
gameplay.

So finally got around to playing this turd and it really shows how quickly they've been slapping these games together. Honestly, I've never had problems with the bugs in AC before but now it's affecting gameplay where I have to restart memories because the idiot AI keeps getting stuck on things. Or I'll be following an escort (not a tail) and fail suddenly because 'reduce distance from target' will flash on the screen briefly even though I'm standing like two feet from them. It's just so obvious there wasn't proper testing done.

Aside from that, the story has been about. . .collecting books. Yeah, I don't know what else to say because I'm bored to tears with collecting books. No epic assassination plot or interesting events going on, just using my library pass to find some books hidden in places that make no sense.

I guess the core gameplay is the only thing going for this series anymore, because I must admit it's still loads of fun just running around killing people. The collection quests are at least lessened, but probably because they only had time to develop one city this time. I'm glad AC III is at least trying to innovate by moving away from the cities and into guerrilla warfare. Otherwise this series deserves to die the way they milked it.
