Is Heavy Rain hard to find in stores? They only have the pre-owned version listed on the website.

Well I ended up getting Shadows of The Damned, Portal 2, and Alice: Madness Returns. I know It wasn't really that great of a deal since 2 of those games were 40 for a while but I was in the area and gave in. Now I'm set until Deus Ex comes out.

Ok so the B1G1 50% off deal and 25% off clearance stacks together...sorta. It takes the 50% off and THEN takes the 25% off. So it's a little better, but not as good as it could be. I didn't complain!

Got:
Final Fantasy - $9.99
Dead to Rights: Retribution - $9.98 - $4.99 - $1.25 = $3.74

Yes, I was worried I wasn't going to get it because it wasn't marked on the box of the bundle, it was in the plastic case with the game.

They had 2 PS3 copies out on the shelf already. No 360 copies though.

Me and a buddy each picked up a copy of EDF and BB pm'ed Shadows of the Damned down to Fry's 39.96 so that rang up free.

well, since some have gotten it and some haven't... this would be by definition YMMV so nobody can give you a clear answer.

I am a Best Buy employee and can answer almost all the questions that have been brought up!

No, you cannot price match and still get the B2G1, that is because we have a policy against double dipping. If a store does allow you they shouldn't it is against policy.

No, this isn't supposed to include used games, at least it is what our employee stuff says.

As for the preorder questions, the way our system does it is we refund the preorder and give a gift card that we put back towards the preordered game when you pick it up. So it will come back as $59.99. As for the 5 for $100. you may have problems with the preorders being refunded and getting the $100, but it takes a simple call to reward zone to get them to add the points since the preorders stay on the RZ account. Just had to do that with LA Noire and a $10 certificate, but RZ immediately credited my account 500 points.

So for instance, I am trading in a couple games Tuesday (40% more trade in for NCAA), getting NCAA, Oblivion, and Mortal Combat for the b2g1, while still getting my first preorder from the buy5 get $100.

Any other questions?

Last time they had a b2g1 deal I got them to price match Black Ops, then I also got SSF4 and Skate 3 (free game). Here's my advice.

1. Get the three games you want and go to the register.

2. Before the transaction starts, tell them that you saw "game x" (or game x and y) at a certain store for cheaper and ask if they can price match it. DO NOT, tell them that you are trying to do the b2g1 deal as well. If the store (you are trying to price match with) is a local one they will attempt to price match it by verifying what you said on their computer in the back.

3. At this point hopefully they will come back and agree to price match the game(s) for you. They will ring them up, and the system should automatically make the third game free. You are gonna need to have an idea of how much it should cost you, and if it costs more then it obviously didn't work. If that's the case I would mention that they are having a B2G1 deal, and if the employee is nice they will make it work for you.

Like I said I have done this before at it worked automatically with no issues. HOWEVER, I called the store in advance and asked if I could price match AND get games as b2g1 and the guy on the phone told me no, he said "BB is against double dipping". Luckily I tried anyway and the registers are set up to have it work regardless of price, as long as you b2 you g1 even if you had them price matched.

I suppose an employee or manager could be a jerk and override it so as not to let you do both deals. That's why you simply ask them to price and don't mention that you want the B2G1 deal as well. Its not dishonest, the system does it on its own, I believe its what the company intended. PM me if you have any more questions.

Took advantage of the Xbox 360 deal. Tried finding a 3 games for the B2G1 but could barely find two. Maybe it's just our town, but there's not a lot of variety at Best Buy and it's overpriced.

Picked up Dance Central & Yourshape Fitness last week for the Kinect B1G1, went back today and got Kinect Sports, UFC Trainer & Kinectimals.

I've had Kinect for months and never used it (came with my newest 360). My nephews visited and we had a blast playing it. I never imagined I'd be supporting Kinect & now I have 7 game for it.

Wow interesting! I posted my previous post before reading yours! It is a story about how my local best buy allowed me to do both, but apparently they were wrong to do that! I wasn't trying to take advantage of BB or anything, either.

Regardless, CAGs please know that I have gotten both deals to work together in the past. I can sincerely say that there was no trickery or lying involved in my approach, so it should work.

no worries man, if they do it they do it. I know at our store we won't, and it is a reason we are number one in our district and top 10 in the nation. We follow our rules so we can make money... But as an employee I will try and get you the best deal possible within our limits.

As for the points cards, I'm not sure, but some people are already reporting it is working... I may have to try it on a register and see if it works! I'll try and see and post back for sure!

Like I said, try, the worst they can say is no... unless its a terrible manager that gets mad or something. were pretty nice in our store as long as you are nice and show respect, we will too. You start yelling or getting mad and we aren't going to be nice back.
