Well, Dragon Age wasn't me. I dropped money on some various comic book HCs and TPBs. A whole shit ton popped up as in stock tonight so I'm almost expecting a lot of cancellations, as if they were false-positives or something. Including some I just bought at 30ish% off last week that I could have possibly got for a few bucks cheaper this week. But I left those alone for someone else to enjoy.

I saw that but that's one of the books I got last week for 30ish% off. What did you end up paying before shipping? Like $9ish? I already forgot what it was listed at tonight.

I also wasn't eying Blinddog's Walking Dead HCs. I'd rather get the absurdly expensive Omnibus editions for Walking Dead hardcovers.

It was $8.46 after shipping.

Anyone know of any good, decently priced comic hardcovers? It's a pain in the ass looking through pages and pages of stuff that isn't even in stock.

Yeah I think I ended up paying $10.43 last week after shipping costs were spread out over that particular order. So you got it for a couple of bucks cheaper. The Batman: Prey TPB is the same situation. I paid just over $10 for it last week but it's $7.50+shipping at the moment.

The paperback omnibus? I dont think those are too bad price wise. Beats $20 a hc brand new per book.

I got the first 3 books and comiccon this year for $10 each, so i am building my collection.

I am eyeing the 2 kick-ass books right now. Pretty much anything i really want tho will never come in stock. Oh well. No more Whedons X-men or Punisher Max vol 4

You have to know exactly what you're looking for pretty much, then see if Hastings has a used listing for it, then watch that used listing for any stock/price changes. Plus it all depends on what your tastes and preferences are when it comes to comics, just like any book or form of entertainment.

That's a pretty good price for Kick Ass 2 since it's a fairly recent release. I probably would have bought it had I thought to look for it before, but now that I've placed my big order I don't want to spend 96 cents in shipping on just that one book.

I have the giant Walking Dead paperback compendium that I got from Hastings brand new for $6 or $7 during one of their glitches. But the Omnibuses I'm referring to are these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wal...nibus_editions

I've only recently gotten into collecting TPB and hardcovers, so I'm pretty much looking for anything DC or Marvel to build up my collection. There's hardly ever any Batman hardcovers in stock, which sucks.

I was looking at Blackest Night earlier, but that's out of stock now. I just wish there was a way to filter your search to only search for hardcovers.

Oh my ing christ, I can't believe how much of my wishlist just came in stock. Placed an absolutely massive order of incredibly unlikely shit that I half expect to get cancelled. It has to have been a fluke...I won't name any of it until I get shipping confirmations/cancellations for fear of risking the likelihood of fulfillment, though.

"Anything" DC or Marvel is still incredibly broad. And I'm not sure why you'd want to buy "anything" DC or Marvel. There are a lot of really poorly written comic books out there. But you can filter your search results to hardcover. Its in the top horizontal options where you can pick "Trade Cloth" which is hardcover.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel. My wallet will thank me though if they do cancel some stuff.

Holy hell, how have I never noticed that button before? I swear I've looked there before. And yeah, 'anything' is too broad. I did mention that I was looking for good and decently priced stuff beforehand though, so basically, just recommended DC and Marvel hardcovers.

A ton of my wishlist just came in stock too. Of course, right after I vow to stop spending so much money.

I saw Rule of Rose, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 come in stock and sell out. Anyone here get them?

Personally I picked up some cheap manga that usually isn't in stock and/or cheap. And also was having problems ordering. Got my order to go through eventually but I missed out on DBZ. (I have the other two I mentioned.)

I recommend making a list of "best" trades for your favorite super-heroes/teams/miscellaneous genres (e.g. if you're into Daredevil, you'd probably want to check out the iconic run by Frank Miller, or go for something more recent, like the run by Brian Michael Bendis). One thing that helps is to read reviews, familiarize yourself with important events in comic history, and to familiarize yourself with authors and artists.
