For people on the fence about anything, 30% Off used games pops up more frequently.

It's the 40% off the used books, CDs, and DVDs that's more rare you should probably consider ordering today if you can.

Why are some games not eligible for the sale?

For example, I had Dead Island and Create (both PS3) in my cart and put in the promo code, but no discounts were applied. However, I also had Halo Anniversary in my cart and the discount worked.

You sure it a "USED" game and not a "previously viewed" one? The coupons are usually only good for the "USED" copies.

It looks like Dead Island is OOS for "used" PS3 and 360 but "previously viewed" copies are still available.

There is absolutely no way to know so just assume it will be used and determine whether that price + price of acquiring a new online pass will be worth it for you.

Well, if the online pass doesn't work, no big deal. I just want to experience the story.

Personally, I thought this was the best one yet or at least tied with the second. I must warn you though. A little past the midway point, there's a huge difficulty spike. Fire fights can become frustrating at that point.
