I've already been charged $80 for the whole shebang.

Not sure what I'll do if it goes through, or if I can even stand keeping that much money tied up. I wasn't even going to get Gears 3...

Wow, that's crazy if it's true. Are people getting charged right away? I would honestly just go for the headset myself.

If you place the order just be aware that you are being BILLED for the $20 Gift Card as Gears of War 3 is prorated to $39.99 and then you are charged $20 for the GC and $15 for the headset

This. So if you do spend the gift card, you will only get $40 back for gears. I imagine the price is supposed to be $150, but someone messed up. Kind of doubt they will honor it, but who knows.

Chances are they will just refund the money for the headset. That would be seriously messed up if they charged the actual amount once its fixed.

Eh, if this wasn't a preorder, it might be easier to bite. I'd just want the headset too, not much of a gears fan nor a walmart.com shopper.

This sounds like more trouble down the road..but yet so tempted to try it.

Just a head's up, since someone will probably repeat what I did (don't want Gears 3, don't need headset despite amazing deal, didn't want to get stuck with a GC):

I cancelled my order, but it only cancelled the gift card. The game and headset are still 'processing'. Might have to submit an email to get it fully cancelled. I'll give it until later today, but something to be aware of.

WM cant charge you more than the origional order.
When you try to cancel you have to cancel everything.
You can always return the game w/o receipt for a full $60
I dont see how WM can stick you with a $20 GC when your order is for a bundle if they cancel the headset.
If this was Amazon then I'd feel better since I got 2-MSI gtx 580 Lightning gpu's for $369 when they should have been $529 recently...but WM no way they honor mistakes, but I'd kick myself if they did and I didnt try

Yeah, wasn't sure...walmart isn't exactly respectable in the gaming department. Guess I'll see what happens for others later on. If it actually worked, I'll kick myself and bang my head against the wall. I've just always wanted a great headset for cheap, but a good one at that.
