Was just getting back into things at the gym but for a month now my digestive system has been completely haywire. Honestly hoping it's parasites since those can be killed, because I'd hate to live with something like IBS or Crohn's disease for the rest of my life. I'd have to give up milk which is super important to me. And coffee =[

Haven't died of malnutrition yet so I figure my body is at least getting what it needs. Hope to gain the weight I promised I would like a year ago in this thread, and do it all this summer. Didn't have the budget to complete my goals during the school year, was living on coffee, eggs, and beer.

I ran six miles last night (without stopping). Was pretty pleased, especially since it's probably been a good eight or so years since I did that!

A friend of mine is a big, big runner...and she and I are now commited to running three nights a week. Definitely what I needed; before running with her last night, I could barely get four miles in alone.

I guess we're gonna work up to my first 10K...then half-marathon.
Pretty excited, as long as I'm able to do it all without losing too much muscle.

I did my weekly weigh in today and had a bigger loss than expected.

Height: 6'2"
Starting Weight: 300lbs
First goal: 250lbs reached on 5/24/12
Next goal: 220 lbs.
Last week's weigh in: 246 lbs.
Current Weight: 241 lbs.

I've been losing a steady 2lbs a week ever since I got down to 260, but this week I had a good 5 lb difference. Got in my 1 mile walk on my lunch 4 days this week and walked another 3.5 miles when I got home on all of those days. Didn't really switch anything up just got in a couple more walks than I would have on other weeks.

I found out I can get a gym membership through my health insurance for only $25 a month and there's a gym that participates in this program only 1.5 miles from my house. I've been thinking about doing some weights or something else to switch it up and I would still be getting my 3 mile walk just going there and back. I think I will sign up when I get paid next.

There aren't any gyms around you that do $10/month? Just about every single gym in my area is that cheap.

Surgery went as planned, cancer was worse than expected. It spread quickly. They said if she would have waited a week and a half they would have been watermelon sized tumors (apparently there were two) instead of 4x6 and about 3 inches thick. On a happy front, I told her she looked like she lost a few pounds, too bad she doesn't have a prior weigh in for the weekly weightloss challenge.

I road 30 miles Tuesday, 25 miles Wednesday, and another 25 today. Lifted heavy Wednesday and used an old mattress as a bag the past couple days. Trying to stay eating healthy, but I've ate more ice cream in the past 4 days than the past month lol.

Wednesday weigh in was 180. I saw there were a bunch of good losses by you guys the past few days, props on that. Thank you guys for the prayers and support.

Glad to hear that you've continued your fitness, Troy. And good to hear that your mom had a successful surgery. She sounds super tough. I shall continue to keep her in my prayers.

I have been playing The Universe in the background of my workouts. This is semi-big in my head as I usually need earbuds pumping in sound to focus. I guess that's my update. And I guess I'm keeping Netflix. Woohoo! Hahaha

Hope everyone is doing well and reaching goals. And what does your diet look like, Habbler? Somewhat interested.

For breakfast I will make a smoothie using diet cranberry or another low calorie juice as the base. I also throw in a scoop of whey protein because when I started this diet and quit eating fast food I realized I was getting no where near what I needed.
Breakfast smoothie
1 cup diet cranberry
1 cup frozen mixed fruit from walmart(strawberry, mango, pinapple, peach)
1/2 a cup of light yogurt(strawberry banana or raspberry)
1 scoop of whey.

Lunch I will make myself a sandwich. I like to buy a few different lunch meats to switch it up, and I also have a few different mustards because mustard tends to be much lower in calorie compared to other condiments. I got the ultra thin cheese thats only 40 calories a slice. Its enough to add flavor. I will also bring some baby carrots and a tablespoon of hummus.

I pack those orange crackers with the peanut butter, a nutri-grain bar, unsweetened applesauce, or other things I have around to snack on during the day too.

Dinner I will make a chicken breast. Sometimes I cut it up and grab a tortilla and lettuce and honey mustard and make my own snack wrap. I always include a salad with my dinner. Nothing fancy just the garden salad bag.

If I get hungry after dinner I will usually have a few more carrots and some hummus.

I give myself a cheat day on 1 of my 2 days off of work. I don't really go over the calories that Lose It suggested to me though. I've been to the Chinese buffet with my brother who isn't on a diet while on this diet on a cheat day. Just have to know whats bad for you and use portion control.

I'm 5'6 and I tried this once. I dropped weight (only muscle), was tired all the time and kinda moody. I think anything below 1800 for a guy is pretty extreme unless you really know what you are doing. Also once you go back to the normal intake your body starts filling in the gaps again and might gain undesired weight (depends on nutrition).

I eat a high protein, normal carb, low fat diet for years now and I feel great. I'm not a big guy but I do think I am in decent shape

For sure on the 1300 calories being low, but I did it for a little while just to see how my energy was. It truly wasn't that bad, I could tell I was lacking energy (all my lifts were slow and way more tiring than normal). I definitely wouldn't do that again. I've been fluctuating my diet much more than lately, changing it based on my physical activity of the day (lifting, biking, days where I lift and bike etc). I've been trying to not each if I'm not that hungry, but if I start to drag and get tired I usually eat something.

Nice job Vega. I was coming in this topic just to comment on the fact that my body feels really good today, I feel very healthy. It's a good feeling.

First good cardio session since my accident.

20 min running at 6mph, 20 min elliptical at 8mph.

Burned around 470 calories, but keeping my diet the same. Don't want to eat the calories I burned

So I've cooled down on trying to lose weight since I hit "the wall". Just wondering what you guys think of this situation:

So I've lost over 35 pounds over the past year. Met my extended family over Xmas and at the time I was at around 142. At the time, some members of the family commented at how much weight I lost (no one said I looked sickeningly skinny). Fast forward to today and I'm sitting at around 153 and the same family members are saying that I look way too skinny and pleading with me to stop exercising/dieting to get some more body weight back.

I know I'm a lot bigger than I was 6 months ago (due to being more relaxed on my diet) so I'm not sure why people are now thinking I'm too skinny when they should have said that back then.

How tall are you? How much do you eat a day? Do you weight lift or just do cardio?
