Dont say that. BB is my #1 choice for BF. GS kinda sucks unless they have and probably will a b2g1 and im dont know about amazon. Are the deals great on BF when it comes to amazon?

Any chance Amazon will match this? I hope so. I have credit to spend there.

If you return the games, you won't get the B2G1 sale pricing.

Once you return it, you can't get the free game again.

TRU won't allow for placeholders, see the numerous posts by prim4444 to explain it, and he's a TRU employee and has always been right on the mark for how things work at TRU.

People should stop thinking about the placeholder idea. It won't work, as detailed repeatedly by prim4444.

That would be nice, but people still won't read it and come in asking the same questions.

OT: I have to get with a friend to see if he wants to go in on this deal with me. I know he'll be getting Batman AC and most likely Ratchet & Clank, and I just want Forza 4 right now.

Wow, can all the people who are desperately clinging to the "placeholder" idea please not come back to this thread and start bitching about TRU when it blows up in your face.

Thanks.

Actually that would be really entertaining. It's not like they weren't warned 20 times in the past few pages.

Hmm... tempting offer. Wouldn't mind getting Batman, Dark Souls, and Dead Island perhaps. With Battlefield coming out soon and me still having to play Oblivion before Skyrim is released, I'm not sure if I should just wait for a cheaper price around Black Friday. x.x

But Shrike, I think he was just concerned about having the other games sell out before Batman was released. So I think in that particular situation he'd be ok. He could buy 3 games (2 he wants and 1 he doesn't), refrain from opening them until Tuesday. Take all three back. Return them. And then turn right around and buy Batman with the two he wanted.

BB gives nothing with their preorders, so unless you think the DLC is going to be worth anything, you should be buying your preorders from Kmart once you are done with BB's 5/100. Your posts in other threads indicate that you don't readily and willingly exercise that kind of forethought, but unless you can get your BB to PM Kmart, you are wasting money.

Yeah, I suspect that if you do it DURING the sale, it'll work out just fine. It's the people who are using the "placeholder" for a game that releases later (say, BF3) that will get denied and provide us with lots of ranting entertmainment.

So the blogs won't be angst ridden till like the 25th.

During the sale timeframe, that shouldn't be an issue.

After the sale timeframe, that is where people will find themselves up the creek.

I forgot that Batman comes out during the sale week, so yes, it should be OK during the sale week.

Man, I felt shifty buying 3 copies of JD3 last night with the intent of PM'ing it to b2g1 on sunday. This placeholder business seems really off the table.

I guess Just Dance 3 is a great flip, if you're picking up three copies of it? Thanks for putting a big neon sign on that point.

I can't imagine you'd have two other friends that want it that badly.

I'm not sure you'd have time for any of those other games if you only have 4 weeks to play Oblivion. Perhaps it's time to move on :p

$70 for 3 copies trades into BB for $87+43.5+8.70= $140.

Everyone go!

Since I already planned to buy Batman for BBY's 5 for $100 (Roughly $20 GC a piece), and I've PMed bundle deals like this in the past, I'm hoping I can bundle this with 2 copies of Dead Island for $25 each (one to keep, one to flip). Does it suck you can't include pre-orders? Sure, but it's better than nothing, though BBY's upcoming weekly ad looks shitty anyways since their pre-order bonuses/5 for $100 deal is so "fantastic".

As much as I love Josh and think the K-mart deals are great ($30 for Batman: AC is quite the steal), I'm a little annoyed with the pontificating of them in here and how everyone looking to jump on this is some sort of idiot.

A) Not everyone (including myself) is near a K-mart, which is an extra hassle because the coupons DO expire.

B) K-mart does not do a post-buy price-match like BBY, and since the $20 GCs are not being included on the receipts, considering K-mart's generally solid post-release sales, PMs are an extra bonus/simple.

C) For those of us who are doing the 5 for $100 BBY deal, we're ALREADY getting a $20 GC per game (directly competing with K-mart's offers), this deal is just a BONUS. My math is like this:

Batman AC -> $60 ($20 GC)
Superfantastic Other Game -> $60
Otherfantastic Game -> $60 (Free)

That's $120 or $40 a game PLUS an extra $20 GC versus

Batman AC -> $60
Other Game -> $30 (due to $30 coupon)
Other Game -> $40 (due to $20 coupon, for sake of argument) + ($20 GC)

That's $130 PLUS an extra $20 GC, so BBY wins by $10, if anything.

Nevermind the fact that K-mart copies don't come with pre-order DLC, which is a nice little bonus. Like I said, I love the work Josh is doing, and it's better if you aren't going for 5 titles this season, but for those of us who are, it's a nice alternative especially for those who have a trade-in desk nearby (K-mart doesn't take trade-ins, but neither does my local BBY -_-).

Edit: Of course all of this is only valid if BBY PMs the B2G1 free, but the idea still stands. And if you were feeling extra crazy, you could pick up the other version of Batman AC if you have it pre-ordered there and it'd be part of the 5 for $100 deal as well.

Last time when TRU had the 2 for $50 deal, I got 4 games price matched at Best Buy. I hope Best Buy will do a similar price match on this upcoming deal.

He's inspired by the release of the Footloose movie!
