It's not return fraud as long as the item you are returning has the same UPC as the one you bought and is unopened.

Anyway, I'm not going anywhere near a midnight launch for MW3. It will just be pure madness. I'll go Tuesday afternoon and get mine from Kmart.

Ohhh... I live about 25 minutes away from a Walmart out in the middle of nowhere. It's quite literally in the middle of about 50 miles of farm land and is located between a truck stop and a old motel.

I can't help but think there will be less than five people showing up for this thing. Might be worth my time if I can snag a free game. I'm iffy.

To those going to these tournaments, beware that they may be run EXTREMELY poorly and might not get done until 2-4 a.m. Listen to episode 137 of my podcast to hear my horror story from the Fenton, MO Madden tournament 10 weeks ago.

Hell maybe I'll call my 2 "local" Wal-Marts tommorow. They both doing it. Whatever has the least sign ups I'll go XD

so, just so you guys know, walmart has yet to send any information to the stores about this tournament.. so most likely, unless the people in the department are gamers (which i doubt for the most part since most of ours are in their 90's) they probably have no idea about this tournament.
its like this for every tournament there. they send out a memo the sunday before (which i guess would be today, and expect something to happen.

I couldn't give one crap about a tournament, because there's no way in hell I'd win since I'm a PC gamer and have no experience w/ a controller.

What I wan't to know is if Walmart is giving away something. Last year I went there because they gave away Free Bandana's for Black Ops.

I'm a sucker for collectables & limited editions.

They claim they are giving away Tshirts, posters, and patches.

Still havent gotten any confirmation from my store <_<. So i'm gonna have to drive by the 2 closest ones sometime tommorow to see

my brother went to 1 of the four walmarts listed to do this tournament in our area, they had everything posted as of friday, except they are waiting until thursday to run the tournament, wtf is up with that sheet? Why advertise something like this and then let the stores change the date to when ever they want, I wasn't planning on doing the tournament, but my oldest son wanted to partake, so I was going to drop him off and go back at midnight and grab my copy and pick him up.

Isn't the whole point of the tourny to play the game early, have a chance at winning a copy, and celebrating the release of the game?

im going to go to my walmart and try and buy a harden edition I suck at mw but I really want a shirt and patch (specally since I work at cup factory and could make a ba custom cup with it lol) also seen some dogtags on ebay hopefully there giving out

I went to 2 local stores today to see if I needed to sign up early, one clerk said he didn't think the tournament was going to even happen, he talked to the manager on duty and he had no idea about it.

I went to another one and the guy working there sort of knew about it, but didn't even know they were giving a game out. He told me to check in tomorrow with the department manager who should have more details.

It looks like this will be an unorganized mess. I'll head over to see if I can win the game but not expecting much from this.

yeah my walmart didn't know about it so he called the manager at home and he said yes there is a tourney but they didn't know if it would be FFA or just 1vs1 and if it was hardcore or regular.

Unfortunately, I have to during the tournament, which I presume is going to happen at my store. I won't be able to enter since I'm working. Oh well.

Called around a little at some of my local Walmarts, and most who picked up the phone didn't even know there was one going on. After talking with a manager they figured out they were holding a tourney, but had NO info on it.

None of the stores I called had any sign-ups, but I don't even know if they are forcing people to sign up to engage in the tourney. Seems like they knew nothing, and obviously had no details about if it was going off Spec-Ops time or a more competitive setting.

Will have to call back on Monday morning and try to pry some info out of these clueless people. Doesn't help that Walmart has no organization to these things and are seemingly are letting stores run the tourney the way they want.
