Well, after reading reviews I jumped on 2 more games in this deal. The world ends with you and fragile dreams for $16 each tax and all seems to be a good deal looking at ebay prices.

Can someone confirm this? There are quite a few titles I am interested in, however B2G1 is a savings of around 25 or more. I'm willing to wait for this if its true.

B2G1 is the same as B1G50%

Math time.

Let's say all the titles you're about to buy are $40.

B1G50%: $40 / 2 = $20 + $40 = $60

$60 / 2 = each game costs $30

B2G1: $40 x 2 = $80

$80 / 3 = each game costs $26.66

In other words, you save almost five dollars per game in a B2G1 in this scenario.

I used to think the same too ... but as Cheapskate's math shows, it's not.

A B1G50% is the individual game cost equivalent of a B3G1F.

I think Confooscious is also factoring tax. The difference is almost neglible. Its hard to compare those deals because you need to factor in need of games, timing, availability, and any existing credit.

I could be wrong but I think he's saying that if you buy TWO games in the B1G50% then at that point you're essentially getting one free... Although it's still not the same because no matter what you're still stuck paying the 50% for the second 50% off game.

Nope. Just didn't have my coffee. However, I'll take a B1G50%off over B2G1 free on amazon because I find it's almost impossible to find a third game on amazon for B2G1 because of their pricing. If i get two $54 and one $52 game, I feel like I lost out somehow. At best buy, everything is $60. Purely psychological I know.

ah man wth?!? the Tritton Detonator xbox headsets were part of the B2G50%off yesterday but now that I was given the green light to buy it isn't on there now...

my total went from $102.95 to $135.94.

it is still being sold by amazon.com so I don't get why it is no longer part of the deal, it is still part of the deal on the Toys'r'us B1G50%off but I have to pay tax+shipping there...

So I had to rush an order through, but which link should I contact Amazon through to get my order amount adjusted? I bought 6 items that were all on the Buy 1 Get 1 50% off (4 at $19.99, 2 at $39.99) but only had $9.99 taken off. I remember last time I had a snafu like this I did contact somebody, I just do not recall who.

So you dont look at the total before hitting the final order button? That's bad habit man. Cancel and reorder.

For those of you interested, MLB The Show 11 is listed as one of the promotional games in this sale, but it's not working in the deal. I emailed Amazon and they replied back, but still haven't fixed it.

I've always thought they were basically the same too, but I see how I was messed up. A B2G1 is 33% off where a B1G50% is 25% off the total. In other words a B1G50% is the same as a Buy 3 Get 1 free sale. (all these statements are based on games being the same price)

Yeah, a TRU employee was telling me that it's the same thing, but obviously it's not if he just did a sample calculation.

5 per game?
You'll have to spend 6.68 TOTAL with B1G150%

So then the question becomes is this really the best deal once we factor in time and money and of course convenience.

For a lot of people it's easier to pair same priced games in 2's then it is 3's. Usually when someone buys the three they need to work for another game.

Also you have to figure out your initial payment compared to what you're getting from it, a one time purchase of 60 dollars ensures that you'll be able to get the maximum out of that purchase before the overall value of the games go down. In a B2G1F scenario you have more to do in the same time before your purchase is worth less.

In a perfect world B2G1F is a better deal but that's almost never the case.
