Posting a scan would be potential copyright infringement. The DMCA makes it easy for the copyright owner (TRU, or whoever they hire to make ads in this case) to demand such things be taken down when posted. Doesn't matter what week the ad is for, doesn't matter how he got the ad. But the facts contained in said ad can't be copyrighted, so posting the prices and deals is a-okay.

Just saying why things are the way they are, I'm not saying I agree with it, so don't go shooting the messenger.

Thanks for the DMCA info. I always thought it was some type of espionage crime when things get out before they wanted them to be released. After they've released the ad into the wild via a mass snail mailing I can't imagine what it is they could be protecting. From now on every Sunday morning I'm taking photos of all the flyers and posting them to FB ;-)

doh. yeah, you're right.

Turns out Nintendo announced the new pink 3ds bundle today and they're calling it pearl pink. So it looks like toysrus made a mistake by calling it metallic rose.

3DS deals are pretty tempting...

Thinking of getting the Flame Red with SM3DL bundle then using the gift card on Ocarina of Time and paying $20 more for Mario Kart 7 since its B1G1 50% off..

$220 before taxes for a 3DS and 3 great games

Is the $40 gift card good immediately, these things usually have a waiting period, but if not that would be great.

I don't know it was just there in the mail. I think it had something to do with my toys r us credit card though because the ad came with a bunch of removable coupons related to the charge card.

My plan is the following

Buy my wife the Pink DS Bundle - $170
Buy myself Mario Kart 3DS + buy her copy of Mario Kart 3DS - $60
Come back the next day and buy Harvest Moon 3DS + Sonic Generations 3DS using the $40 giftcard + $20

That's basically $40 spent on my own copy of Mario Kart 3DS
And $210 spent on a Pink 3DS with Nintendogs, Mario Kart 3DS, Sonic Generations 3DS & Harvest Moon 3DS.


Also don't forget Toys'R'Us is doing the 10% reward program stuff now. So if I spend $290 there (maybe only $250 if Giftcard doesn't count), I'll get $29 ($25) back.

I wouldn't get Harvest Moon 3DS. It freezes a lot. I would suggest the DS version instead.

Really? That sucks. It'd be kind of lame to get her a 3DS and then get her a game she could just play on her regular DS.


But then again, it would be lame to get her a game that freezes, she could only play on a DS with less battery life, that she most likely won't play in 3D for long times (if at all) anyways.

Alpha Protocol for 360 is only $9.98 on Toysrus. That was the lowest I saw it for a while, but just recently Amazon's alternate sellers dropped it to about the same price.
