I can't help but wonder if anyone has taken Best Buy's recent deals of the day and flipped them at Best Buy themselves, heh.

I sorta did that by accident when I bought Pictionary Wii for $5, and traded it in the next week for $12, when I realized it was something you needed more than two people to play.

A lot of people have done that. Not accidentally, though.

Making my way through my backlog to do some trades. Just finished up Wanted (Fun but flawed) and Kane And Lynch (A completely joyless game). I have a new copy of K&L 2 and I am afraid to even try to play it.

don't play k&l2 sober. makes it more irritating than it needs to be. go through it co op with a friend.

lol kane and lynch 2 is my 2nd favorite shooter (own it on 360 and ps3), can't play co/op and can't drink. guess im out of the loop.

Kane and Lynch 2 is so much fun in split screen co op. I believe they are currently being sued because their condescending depiction of Shanghai? Or was that over?

i hated the second compared to the first. the first had an interesting story. the second....is LETS KILL THEM ALL!!!

Muchas Gracias. That is certainly a new occurance. I just got rid of most of my beaten and/or unwanted backlog of about 22 games between best buy and Gamestop. I need to get $260 over to Best Buy and this is Perfect! Would have been more but the hot chick at Gamestop always suckers me in to a preorder, this time of sleeping dogs. I know it is happening yet I still can't stop it. No one else can do that to me, just sexy women.

I've never traded in games at Best Buy. Do you take the games to the electronics area or the customer service desk?

for the most part, there's a kiosk/register in the video game section where you do the trade ins. if not, you can ask the worker/greeter at the front of the store.

Cool, thanks. Does it matter if the games have Gamestop stickers on them?

Anyone know how lenient they are in terms of scratches on discs? Like if theres a refurb fee or if they just don't take the game. I found a copy of MW3 360 for 8 bucks at a Goodwill that has a slight ring scratch around it, plays fine though. Was looking at trading it in will the double credit was still around. I figure they'd just end up buffing it at the warehouse as they do with most of their games.

depends entirely on the person doing the trade. some don't even remember to look. they will either take it or not. there's no refurb fee.

^ They will look at the disc... but It really depends on the person who takes your tradein if they deny or accept the game.

Anyone know a good response/comeback when an employee says, " Thats wierd; I see alot of people are coming in and trading in this exact game lately..."

I personally trade disc only and hand them manual and cover art (telling them I tossed all my case and only have room to keep these) .

As long as there isn't some really, really old GS stickers on the games, it should be fairly easy to get them off the cases at this point. I'd definitely say you're better off taking them off before trading though. You don't wanna get any junior detectives asking too many questions and have one possibly flag your account.

It depends. If it's really pronounced, then they may not take it. But if it's only a slight scratch ring, then they may not care.

Agreed wrt stickers. Since I hate those stickers in general, they all get taken off when I get home regardless if they're directly for flipping or not. It's just one less distraction for the trade in going smoothly.
