Must have been an input error. I'll edit it. I remember the sub attempt.

It's all good. Monday sounds great. We can nail a time closer to the fight if you'd like. I actually should have Monday off for a doctor's appointment, so that actually works pretty awesome.

Corky Buchek | Tabasco Smothernuts | TKO | 3:04 of round 1

Got some nice kicks to land early and get an advantage. Finished it with ground and pound.

Hey Shotgunshine I'm free most of today to get the fight in. Might be going out tonight but that's not for another 6 or so hours. Let me know if we can fight.

TJ Taylor | Big Business | TKO | Round 2 at 4:43

Were having a really great match...razor thin close...both have rocked each other, good head and body damage on both of us...third round starts and of course the servers crap out. As great as this game is, im acutally glad EA is taking it over just for the fact that the online cant get any worse

Second fight... I think we both just wanted to finish it quickly so it wouldn't mess up again. We both hit each other, but I simply got hit alot more...was rocked a total of three times...went down the third time and one follow up punch later and it was over....good fight KBURNS.

Hate THQ servers! Our first fight looked like a real championship fight. Second fight was just a slugfest though. Great fight to Shotgun though! Always gives me a run for my money.

Wouldn't this require that EA servers not suck as well? You don't play many EA games do you? lol

They do suck too, but I feel like they are at least more "stable" than THQ ones. They do have a nasty habit of turning older game servers off at the drop of a hat when the next title in the series comes out though.

Borat Sagdiyev | Domingo Ayala | Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) | 5:00 of Rd 3

Wow...great fight with Alan! I seemed to have his timing pretty well early, but he came roaring back mixing in some clinch work and some nice judo. The fight was a back and forth brawl though, with both of us getting knocked down 3 times. I thought I had some decent strikes in the 3rd that could have done serious damage, but Borat was exhausted and there was just nothing on them. I was really lucky to escape that 3rd round. It seems like we're starting to see some really good fights in here...which again, is funny considering we've been doing this for 4 months already. The difference between winning and losing is just getting very razor thin. Gotta love that.

Confirming post.

Like Nate said, he definitely had me timed in the first round, I didn't do much of anything. About halfway into the second, I decided to get back to the clinch and throw game, which I relied on heavily in the past. That got me back in the fight, and the round could have been scored either way. Third round, got back into the clinch and throws again, Borat got some strikes in, but there wasn't really much left in the tank, so the ones that did land, didn't seem to do much. Third for sure went to Ayala, but it wasn't enough, as round two went to Borat according to the judges.

Great fight overall, a couple weird animation hiccups, but didn't deter the quality of the fight overall. Video upcoming in the morning after I let it upload overnight.

My opinions of the Borat & Domingo fight:

1. It looked like either a match up of two 70's male porn stars or the headline of a LGBT pride parade.

2. Judging from the landed strikes/kicks & takedowns and transitions it should have been at minimum a split decision and for Domingo. I watched the fight twice to make sure I wasn't mistaken and I still stand by my initial thought.

3. These decisions (controversial wins) have been all over the gamefaqs boards and the UFC Undisputed forum. I seriously thought Domingo put in work and landed more strikes, did more damage, controlled the fight more. Stats don't lie. It seems like Cecil Peoples was judging that fight. This provides a sense of realism I guess due to terrible decisions in MMA, but I think this should be addressed in the next UFC game.

4. Usually at the end of a fight, when they go to decision (from experience) they show the person who is going to win is psyched and they show him first. This time, they showed Borat first who looked like he needed to sit down (low stamina) and showed Domingo happy as hell. Clearly watching the decision everyone would be taken back if they didn't see the results in the forum.

Good fight for you two. Domingo definitely deserves a rematch on this one. I would have tossed my controller at the wall.

Two areas you have much familiarity with? haha. It helps if you know who they are.

Total Strikes Landed: 58-59
Takedowns Gained: 1-3
Transitions Performed: 16-15

I agree that a split decision would have been more appropriate, but this is probably the definition of a fight that could have gone either way. Basically, I had the first half of the fight. He had the second half of the fight. You see fights like this all the time in MMA...where the guy who wins barely gets out of the last round. In a 10 point must system, whoever you give the 2nd round to wins the fight.

Well, referencing the GameFAQs boards isn't going to help your credibility, lol. You seriously thought Domingo landed more strikes. What? You can't add? lol. As I said, it was 59 to 58. Measuring damage is a tricky one in this game because health regenerates. What you're seeing on the end screen is not cumulative...but just at the moment the fight finished.

It's very possible that at one point, Domingo's head damage was higher than 78%. Domingo definitely controlled the end of the fight. But if they showed you a stat screen after each round, things could have looked differently. Stats don't lie...especially when you view them objectively.

You don't think this is done intentionally? You've never seen a fighter acting like he won the fight only to be disappointed in the decision? Or even the inverse...a fighter not expecting to win the fight who gets the decision (Rampage over Machida comes to mind). It happens. Just to be clear, I'm not arguing why I deserved to win this fight. As I said, it could have gone either way (and I told Alan right after it finished that I thought he had me with the way he turned the fight around in the latter half of the 2nd). Just providing you a little more insight to your argument.

The only thing I can think of after watching it again is that Domingo didn't get back into the fight in time. With around two minutes left, I got three take downs, only did real damage with the last one at the bell.

I think that's also an argument for people who are against round based scoring IRL. Borat definitely started strong, but didn't finish that way. Even on the stat-sheet at the end, if one saw only that information, they would probably wonder how the heck Domingo lost, let alone unanimously.

Oh wells, thems the ropes, im not mad or anything, just glad we had a great fight,

Watching the video again, honestly, I thought the 1st round was closer than the 2nd round. The 1st round was reasonably even until Borat got the knockdown/rock combo at the very end (which still looks like a badass combo, lol...I don't even know how I pulled off those three moves that quickly). In the 2nd round, Borat was dominating the striking and had 2 knockdowns up until 2:26 left in the round.

Then, there was some grappling for almost a minute before Domingo got a takedown. Borat got up quickly. Domingo clinches, gets another takedown, but again, not much damage is done, and Borat gets up. A few more strikes were exchanged, and then Domingo got a final takedown at the end of the round, which he followed with some nasty elbows to rock Borat. Basically, you're looking at 2 knockdowns/1 rock vs 3 takedowns/1 rock...with the time being split almost right down the middle in terms of "controlling the round". I don't think you can get much closer than that.

The 3rd round was all Domingo, no question. You could even make the argument that Domingo won the 3rd round more handily than Borat won the 1st round...but that's irrelevant in a 10 point must system (since no rounds were deserving of a 10-8). Definitely a close fight, and I know we'll see each other again.

That was a great fight...really a match that could've went either way. Very nice comeback by Domingo. It looked like he was going to be taken out quickly.

I've noticed to the matches i've had lately with everyone have been a hell of alot tougher then in the beginning. I guess since most of us have played each other several times and we each know our play styles pretty well.
