I passed on the Xenoblade CE (which I regret) so I am definitely getting this.

OK, I'm leaning towards preordering, but I have one more question: Is it easy to cancel a preorder from this site if I was to change my mind (obviously I'm not saying that's definitely what I'll do, but I'd like to know just in case)?

I've ordered at least 10 games from The Hut (Zavvi) and my copy of Xenoblade got lost in the mail. Emailed them and they sent me a new copy no questions asked, pretty good. I haven't ordered from HMV before, but may for this.

Any idea if the U.S. release of Xeno will use the same localization text as the U.K.? I already bought the U.K. version. Sorry NoA, but you waited too long.

It's a Gamestop exclusive, so it's more limited than other Wii releases, but Gamestop isn't some tiny vendor, they are one of the largest retailers in the world and the largest gaming retailer. I would be surprised if Last Story doesn't get picked up for release here given that it will have an English localization ready to go with this European release.

Thanks OP, I'm in for one. This will be my first Wii import, so I'll have to check out that modding channel download. Thanks for the info there guys.

I pulled the trigger. I could actually place an order too unlike with the other sites that had it more expensive on top of it.

Imo, the success of Xenoblade in America will determine whether or not Nintendo brings the other two over to the States.

This is the worst and dumbest possible thing someone could say about it. You want them to localize more games? Buy it when it comes here, whether or not you imported it. Sorry people, the people that imported thinking it wouldn't come here jumped the gun.

Hell, I imported it and I'm still buying it when it comes here because I actually want to support the genres I enjoy, not act like a spoiled brat.

Not everyone has the money to just throw around for a game they already beat. I support morrodox's post and I plan to buy it when it comes here also. I might sell my Xenoblade Chronicles CE.

It's not being a spoiled brat, it's being efficient with your money.

As for the game on hand, I hope HMV packs their items well. Also, I'm a little concerned about them automatically charging you if the price is an error. Although if it was an error, you figure they'd have fixed it by now.

I put in my address wrong the first time and had to cancel the initial order and place another one. I did so without issue, so I think you'll be fine.

Anyone notice they don't ask for your state, just your county, city, zip code? What did you all do when putting your address in?

What I don't get is why Europe gets all these Collector's Editions of JRPGs that we don't get in America. I lived in Europe for many years and back then we were lucky if we got any JRPG (even ones that had English US versions) let alone Collector's Editions.

You have to give zipcode and a city. Any post office or shipping company can figure out where you live from your house number, street and zipcode.

Well, I finally preordered (after watching a video review and seeing the incredible battle system, how could I not? ). Hopefully I won't come to regret it.

Another Code R
Last Window
Monado: Beginning of the World
Pandora's Tower
Ace Attorney Investigations 2

And, until recently, Xenoblade Chronicles.

Given the track record of America being ignored on Wii and DS releases, how can you blame us for believing it would never be released here? I just wanted to play the damn game.

Now what's that term for someone who has unlimited money from mommy and daddy to spend on multiple copies of games, and has to throw out childish name-calling at those of us who don't? GAH, it's right on the tip of my tongue...

There is a field for "County" in the HMV checkout which is where I put my state and it worked just fine.

Apparently it's called an adult. But good try with the trolling, you'll get it some day. It's also called saving up money and understanding your budget while still supporting the things you enjoy and want to see more of.

And of those, two are by a company that is now dead and one is by Capcom. None of them have anything to do with the situations for Xenoblade or Last Story. Chances are Nintendo always had the intention of releasing them to the US, they just never say anything.

There were plenty of reasons to believe that it wasn't going to come out here. There was nothing wrong with people importing the UK release. This is 100% NOA's fault. We shouldn't be expected to buy 2 copies of the same damn game because NOA made some piss poor decisions leading up to its eventual US release.
