It was $4.99 earlier today but then the price went up.

It was $2.50 before in a previous sale. So wait it out until it hits daily or last day of the sale.

I will give Eastx a plug for his site. Here is a good list of games that have local co-op.

Personally I would recommend Dungeon Defenders. I hook my PC up to my tv and play this with a friend of mine. I use the keyboard and mouse while he uses a x-box 360 controller.

For SR3: Is the base game good enough for someone who never really holds interest in a game long enough to play the DLC? Or is the DLC a must?

Definitely, I grabbed Max Payne 3 a couple weeks ago and made sure to blaze through it before the Steam sale started, just in case. I have no regrets!

It was 4.99 earlier in the day. Not sure why it went up. I got it for $2.49 during the Winter Sale. Assuming Witcher 2 will be a daily deal (highly likely), you'll probably find this further discounted then as part of the 'franchise.'

You can buy the publisher pack for 50 bucks and that will get you a shit ton of games.

It's not a must, but I felt it was worth the $6-7 I paid for it. I wouldn't pay more than that.

Yeah, I just realized that I'll probably completely miss one of these flash deals, the one that will replace Mafia II. I'm not willing to sacrifice sleep for a few bucks. I've been sleeping too poorly lately due to a cold.

Besides, the sale runs for over a week. No way am I setting alarms in the middle of the night every night. My husband would murder me.

Flash deals we don't know, because this is the first sale that has had them.

The last day is usually a recap day of the most popular daily deals, so you're gambling on whether they'll be repeated. It's probably best to grab flash and daily deals as you see them.

Everything else though: you should wait until the last day in case they become a daily deal. You don't want to buy something for 33 or 40% off now only to have it come up as 75% off next Wednesday.

I am hoping what they do is after 11 EST have deals that run till 11 AM EST, or something that people with jobs can get in the morning.
Old 07-12-2012, 07:54 PM   #8392
Crap, edited some of the packs with links / original prices / prices, but I don't see it.
Old 07-12-2012, 07:57 PM   #8393
The flash sales are only 6 hours long? That means some will start at 2AM and end at 8AM here in Brazil. OK for work days, but terrible for my weekend.

heh heh, I am not recommending doing this idea of mine but we should set someone up to keep an eye on the Flash Deals during the middle of night and text us with the deals.
Like I said, I am not recommending this to anyone to do.

Unfortunately, I have to go to bed now, as I have an early morning job. It'll be interesting to read through this thread and see what's up on the Steam site about 3:45 tomorrow morning.

Really hoping to get Trine 2 in the morning.

Lupe says, "I'm not recommending anyone do this, but if you do, could you send me a text too? "

I am editing the publisher packs by the way so no need for anyone to do this right now.

I think it must be due to the heavy traffic Steam is experiencing but I just bought the Total War DLC and it didn't appear on my account. Any idea who to contact about that?
Old 07-12-2012, 08:11 PM   #8400
Sorry if this is a FAQ or stupid question...

How do Steam bundles work with games you already have? If i buy a bundle that contains 3 games I already own on Steam, is that just too bad or do I get codes I can give to others or what?
