Alright guys, I'm officially at 999 games (not just from this sale). I don't know why or how I'm still spending money, but I'll be sure to post my shameful list of purchases during this sale. It's pretty shameful, but I'll post it!

Trying to decide on alan wake, i have the base game, no dlc, for the xbox but yet to actually play it. Anyone know if its worth getting on the pc if you already have it on the xbox?

I don't have nearly that many games but I have quite a few sitting untouched in my backlog and I'm still spending. The thrill of the hunt and the anticipation of what the next deal will be are almost more fun than playing the games themselves.

Anyway, been a slow start to the sale for me. All I've purchased...

Trine franchise pack $4.99
Binding of Isacc: Wrath of the Lamb $.74
Dark Messiah Might and Magic $2.49

Dark Messiah seems like it would be a great game but I keep hitting this huge frame rate drop in Chapter 2 when my rig should have no issues running the game on max settings. Apparently it's a problem with Windows 7 64-bit that only some people get with no real solution to be found.

First of all, wow! Congrats. I'm guess you'll #1000 by the end of this weekend. Secondly, I'm a little a hesitant to ask, but how many of those games have actually been played?

Edit: Forgot to add that I voted for QUBE. It seems like a game I'd definitely be into. G'night!

Take into consideration the price for the DLC on Xbox Live. You'll end up paying MORE than 10 bucks just for the DLC, and for that price you can get Alan Wake, the DLC, AND American Nightmare on PC.

I'm sure they'll put it on sale every once in a while on Live but it'll be few and far between, and never at as good of a discount. The ports are good, it looks better on PC, and that's a pretty good savings you're getting. Hell you could probably trade Alan Wake in and cover almost all the cost.

Jesus Christ, This is my first steam sale and I'm spending way too much, already spent $48(Portal 2, HL Collection, Indie Bundle One, Graw II, Might and Magic Clash of Heroes, Dark Might and Magic and Darksiders). I'm pulling myself away from buying MP Bundle and From Dust.

Now I see why everyone says Steam is amazing for deals, but DAMN this rapes the wallet.

How big is your guys' hard drives? I gotta 1 TB and I'm staring to get worried due to lack of space(at 430 GB). I see some of you guys have 500 games, do you keep all of them installed?

Didn't realised Trine Franchise was on sale too during Trine 2 Flash Sale...should've gotten that instead of just Trine. Oh well

So far...

Steam Summer Sale
Day 1 Indie Bundle - $9.99
AW American Nightmare - $3.74
Trine 2 - $3.74
Payday Heist - $3.75 (group buy)
SFIV AE - $7.50 (group buy)
Total ~ $28.75

Others
Metro 2033 (CAG trade) - $4.00

Crap, I already went over my initial budget of $30.

Don't get too worked up about it, they made the coupon unstackable with the sale about an hour after the sale started.

Wherer do you check for coupons? For future reference (assuming you can't use it at all on steam at the moment).

I have 172 installed of my 999 games, and that's just my Steam games. Might be important that I mention that I'm sitting on about 6.XX GB left of free space on my 1 TB HDD. No reason to have that many installed, but I'm afraid that if I uninstall them I may have problems with DRM, which I want to avoid.

Hey how do you guys feel about Hydrophobia: Prophecy for $1.24? I don't know that it is the same hydrophobia that I read the reviews about. If it is, I think I'll pick it up.

same, already had to uninstall some stuff and move some to a different partition before the sale. It was a bad idea having steam and origin on the same drive

Can't go wrong for $1.24, but from what I've played of it (1hr at most), it's not too shabby.

Thanks! It seemed like a really good deal for a game G4 reviewed so highly.

Can you choose which hdd/ssd steam installs games into by game by game basis? Haven't experimented much into this (seeing that I only had a ssd). Also, should I be concerned with write limits for ssd? Or is that pretty much a dead issue today.

Personally I only have 3 games installed from steam (Alan Wake, Cave Story+, and Payday).
