Played through it a few weeks back.

I second the recommendation. Maybe my favorite non-humorous point and click.

Crysis Maximum is 8.99 for those that don't want 2.

The absolute only reason I voted for Skyrim... Now my night is ruined.

Hopefully Batman wins out. I was on the fence about it last time it came up but since then I made up my mind to get it and have been waiting.

Alright, to bed with me. If'n someone wants Deus Ex: HR, I'll undercut the Steam sale. Shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you in a bunch of hours.

It will be fun, no doubt. You'll LOVE the classic games thing where you play as Wilt or Michael or Magic in a career game. You can even have a blast just running up and down the court in the easier modes.

My point was, there is so much more underneath the surface of the NBA 2k iceberg its hard to not mention it if you know of it. You will absolutely get your moneys worth out of it at $10. Just be cautious as you ramp up the levels because it becomes a real SIM really quick.
Ok-ok, I think I'm sold

The PC version of 2k12 looks a lot better than consoles, but there are some problems playing with other people online (low fps, etc.)
Thanks. Career/manager mode is usually how I like to play this kind of games, so online shouldn't be a factor at all.

Well, I know pretty much zero about basketball. The last game I watched Michael Jordan was still playing
However, over the years I've really enjoyed other sports games such as PES or NHL and my thinking was that hopefully picking up a real basketball game would actually help me understand the sport better.

In my Opinion, Crysis 2 is the best, but I was just saying that for those that don't want to spend $18.

Youre making the right call man. If you need some managerial help, PM me and we'll go over it. I turn off all the team chemistry stuff as I dont like dealing with whiny millionaires.

Its a blast. Smooth as silk on most PCs (its low reqs for todays games) and you'll learn a lot.

Be careful though. I bought my first 2k way back when they did the $15 to NBA Live's $50. Ive not bought any other bball game since and only a couple of Maddens which I traded back in within a week or two.

What's the DRM like on Crysis? I may just be looking for a reason not to get in on this deal, but I hate EA enough to consider it...
Old 07-17-2012, 03:19 AM   #13434
I caved a while ago and picked up Crysis 2 on Origin... I am tempted to double dip..
Old 07-17-2012, 03:20 AM   #13435
Knights of the Old Republic is in the Daily Deals at 75% off, been waiting for that one. Haven't seen the first Witcher at 75% off yet, though *crossing fingers*

Anybody have comments or opinions about "Dear Esther"? For only 2.49 it seems like it would be worth a try. Can't quite make up my mind about it, though.

The first Witcher was 75% off during The Witcher 2 flash deal.

don't get the PC version. it comes with securom and has install limits: 5 machines and 10 installs each, it might sound like a lot, but in 10 or 15 years you get the urge to install the game again to play through it(i do with with torment and baldur's gate, ive installed and uninstalled them both over a dozen times) you might have already hit the install cap.

get the xbox version or ps3 if you own either of those systems

i got the batman franchise on steam for 25$ and that is really the only purchase I regret from this sale.

Gahh!! Risen 2 looks cool but for only 33% off it doesn't look worth it at all. Arkham City for 66% off though....
Old 07-17-2012, 03:24 AM   #13440
These community votes are getting a bit repetitive aren't they? I guess I'll vote for Risen II. It hasn't been on sale yet, has it?

Anyway, got lucky today and didn't buy a thing! Although I think I might pick up the Indie Bundle V tomorrow (don't have any of the games and with ys:oath being $5 and not likely being included in a future bundle, picking up 4 other games for $1.25 each seems like a pretty good deal). I was also tempted by the Pendulo pack, but I'll pass for now. Like many here I've too many adventure games in the backlog right now.
