For some reason I thought I had Syberia then I realized I only have had it on my wishlist forever. I keep meaning to get it but then I kind of ponder just buying the whole Meridian 4 pack some time. Though it seems like Meridian is doing some indie bundles now so I wonder if Syberia might show up in one at some point.

I hate thinking like this, but my first thought was honestly that it looks like something that will be in an indie bundle at some point. The developer, Oxeye, was involved in the Humble Bundle Mojam.

No prob, I was just posting so others wouldn't have to try to find out it was gone.

Big thanks to The End for hooking me up with a code on PM.

This is why I love CAG and the Steam thread specifically. I gave out two copies of The Ship last night, but ended up getting gifted games from generous CAGs.

Legend of Grimrock is now available and 10% off ($13.49) until April 18th.

This was cheaper as a pre-order, but if you were waiting for reviews and don't want to wait for a bigger sale you might be interested.

Going to mull over the various Kickstarter links posted over the last couple of pages. I'm liking this trend for reviving adventure games.

Jane Jensen of Gabriel Knight, Gray Matter etc just started a Kickstarter as well to do some more adventure games.

Right now it's set to be DRM free downloads. No word on a possibility of Steam but I've submitted a question to her asking about it.

I have heard nothing but great things about this one.

HOw's Sniper Elite? Is it any good?
Old 04-11-2012, 05:10 PM   #1654
Hmm I just noticed Retro City Rampage due to release in May. It looks awesome. You can pre-order from the developer's site and will get a Steam key on release.

http://www.retrocityrampage.com/buy.php

It's slightly pricey for an indie ($14.99) but they give you printable plans to make a foldable faux NES box.

I would say that it is ok. I enjoyed the game to the extent that when I finished I never wanted to play it again. You get a great sense of satisfaction whenever you do achieve a long range kill, which is essentially every kill. But unfortunately one level which has an awkward amount of close range indoor fights and is terrible keeps blocking out a lot of the good levels from the game.

I will put it this way. The game is forgettable, but enjoyable.

I bought Sniper Elite for a buck and change on Steam. I thought it was a brown mess visually and the controls were sluggish for movement and so slow to pull up the guns. I wanted it to play like Hitman at war but it isn't. When I played it like they intended (I think) it was minutes of prone crawling at a time and so dull. It's now in my "finished" games folder on Steam.

Glad you're enjoying it! I haven't even touched it yet though...I plan on trying to figure out The Ship tonight once I run some errands. I bought Legend of Grimrock but I'm saving that until the weekend.

Anyone think we will be seeing a sale on Ridge Racer Unbounded any time soon?

I'd also buy it if someone has it for a decent price.
