Just be careful if you preorder SSX through TRU using a debit/credit card. They immediately remove the funds and set it aside out of your checking out once the preorder is set, even though they don't directly charge your debit/credit card.

I preordered FFXIII-2 not knowing this back when they had it discounted and it was a complete mess trying to figure out why my bank account was deducted the preorder price for the game even though they said that Toys R Us does not charge your credit card until the game ships; which is sort of a lie. I eventually canceled the preorder a week later and got the money released by my bank. I think I will just continue to preorder through Amazon, as they really do mean that they won't charge your card until the game ships.

Damn thats a tempting price but the last time I pre-ordered a game from TRU it took 2 weeks to get the ing thing. I dont think I cant wait that long for this one.

It says under availability "Buy now for shipping by 2/28/1". So hopefully i won't have to wait 2 weeks to receive the game lol Wish shoprunner would work on video games though.

May cancel my Amazon pre-order for $59.99 + $10 credit. Combine this with the Toys r Us rewards certificates for an extra $5.

Final price of $39.99 + tax. Not bad.

I canceled my NewEgg preorder and switched to this. I will wait a little longer, but be $3-tax richer. LOL.

I doubt Amazon will match. At best they might give $15 in credit, but that's not as good as paying less in the first place.

Actually I forgot about tax (edited above). Really I'm only saving 30 cents. LOL. Oh well.

They also have Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (PS3 only) as well as Game of Thrones preorders up there for less than MSRP. And Grand Slam Tennis 2. Wish they had 360 version of Amalur, I'd be quite tempted.

This is a great deal. SSX is going to be an amazing game. The only reason I might pass is because I want to guarantee that I get it on day one.

Man, I want this game. I think 30-35 is the price I will bite on and only because my backlog is egregious

Is there a precedent for Amazon matching these preorder deals? And is this usually a limited time thing like at Newegg? Or could I potentially wait till the week of release and still get the cheaper price? I'm pretty tempted to go for this and Kingdoms of Amalur, but it would be off putting if they take the money out now (as was mentioned above). Even if it is set aside, it means I can't use it..
