Thanks OP, bought it. I normally don't buy any games except MegaTens at release, but this price is pretty good and it probably won't get that much lower than $48 for a while.

How is $48 too steep when you claim Vesperia was your favorite JRPG this gen?

Last console game I played was Dark Souls at launch and I just preordered this. Vesperia (Lost Odyssey #2) was my favorite JRPG this gen, and I will help support the series and try to get more games in it to be localized....even if I don't play it for a few weeks/months.

I've never had any of my pre-orders cancelled by them. I live in NE Florida and my pre-orders have come in on Thursday.

Can you link the source? In case the code doesn't print out when I reserve it, I'd hate to be knocked out of the DLC for good.

Just look on the GameStop product page.

Pretty good deal, but i think for 15$ more and the ability to get it on launch day, i'd rather go with Gamestop for the DLC.

Usually when a company says the DLC is exclusive, it stays exclusive <_<. (I know how much Fallen Angel Flonne sells for on Disgaea 4 due to all the people claiming it'd get released later)

Looking at GameStop's pre-order page, all you get for DLC is special character outfits and a theme. Doesn't seem worth the extra money to me. Am I missing something?

I've been waiting for a deal for this, but I just went to Newegg and the price is $59.99 and that promo code does not work at all.

I don't know..They did a low run for Vesperia but ended up reprinting it. I can't decide whether to bite on this or not for rarities sake.

For those wondering, the Gamestop preorder bonus DLC does appear to be exclusive, according to a post Namco made on their facebook account. That said, it doesn't look all that impressive in my opinion.

You have to sign in and add the game to your cart before you can enter the promo code. Worked for me. I'm just waiting to see if I'm missing something on the GS DLC before I place the order.

If its anything like the Japanese version (Who said the same thing), the DLC never got released at all.

This call gets a bit tougher now.

I really want to support this series and I will never get TotA 3DS. The big problem is that I don't have a PS3 and $10 off certainly doesn't tip the scale because I can't get into games like Uncharted and Valkyria Chronicles (or most PS3 exclusives AT ALL).

Truth is...if I could find 3 more games I would definitely like to play for the PS3 I may do this deal anyway - NOT for re-selling it - but for playing and enjoying it - even if I have to wait a year and change to be able to do it.

I have to find those three...

Rarities sake? No, very doubtful it will get rare in this day and age. Like the others have said you need only look at Vesperia. It was rare for awhile and the prices sky rocketed, but then they reprinted it.
Supporting Tales of... so we can get more from the series? You should.

I'm buying it because I like the Tales of... series and will probably drop whatever I'm playing on Ps3 at the time to start it.

okay I did get the code to work, I think it was not working because I did not put in my zip code. For you guys on the fence about this, read the reviews on game$$$.

I loved Versperia, but 52.50 (with tax) is pretty steep for something I probably won't be able to play for another couple of months due to a huge backlog and Mass Effect 3. Anyone know how the reviews for this update were in Japan?

Ugh. This bothers me. While both Gamestops in my area are pretty legit, I'm still worried they'll give away my pre-order bonus to somebody else. ;_;
