Same as Hellhunt regarding chipped discs. I've purchased probably 6 games from them so far this year with no chips, at least 20 total lifetime and I've received 2 with minor chipping which didn't cause issues.

Easily the highest quality used games (ps3 AND 360, the 360 games always look great for me despite being more scratch prone in mailers) out of the major retailers (gamefly, BB, gamestop, blockbuster, hastings) in my experience. Only thing that comes close is amazon warehouse due to their detailed quality grading.

I heard that Dark Souls is hugely online. So my question is...Are there enough people still playing to make it worth playing?

In for Dark Souls on PS3! Thank you Sr. Cheapy!

Those curious about Driver, that is game is very good, too.

I've bought 4 games (all PS3) from Gamefly and they've all be in pristine condition. Maybe it's a 360 thing?

i got a chipped ps3 disc that i put in and within a few days my ps3 stopped reading discs. be very careful about chipped edges, tiny shards could damage your laser as the disc spins around.

it may have been a coincidence, but it was only a 6 month old machine at the time.

I'm not really sure how a microscopic piece of plastic would damage the laser, even if it were remotely possible for it to somehow break off the outside of the disc at full speed and somehow impact the laser. Just think about the physics involved there. All the momentum would throw the "shard" outward just like when you let go of the payload in a sling. It would have to ricochet off the inside of the disc drive, slide in the tiny gap under the disc and impact the moving laser directly.

And even if that happened there's almost no way it would do anything. I've done a hell of a lot worse to optical disc lasers in projects before with no issue.

Electronics are a hell of a lot more robust (even optical based ones, which are probably some of the least robust) than people give them credit for. A failure like this is almost always going to be due to a manufacturing defect or the side effect of another part failing.

DUDE. Driver was one of the best games of last year. Pure entertainment. A steal at $20... Underrated gem.

Alright, it's between Dark Souls from Gamefly or Catherine from Best Buy (I foolishly missed out on the previous GF deal)

Any advice?

Driver's my awesome go-to game when the other ones I have are boring me.

Have my last $5 coupon expiring and am itching to use it. Is Driver really that fun? And are there going to be more sales this week, Cheapy?

Never purchased from GameFly before, but do their games normally come complete?

Case and manual are included and basically brand new. They take the games out of the packages and warehouse them until they're sold as used. They come with all DLC.

Discs are rentals so keep that in mind (with 360 especially, ps3 games are almost impossible to scratch). The most common issue is chipping around the exterior of the disc due to the mailers (if you have ever looked at a gamefly or netflix disc you'll know what i mean).

Their customer service is solid and all my experiences (as well as most people, if you read the thread) have been great.

GREAT PRICES.... wish GF had more games on sale this week

Bit on Driver: SF (). There actually isn't much I'm looking out for, so hopefully (if there are more of these sales) nothing else will interest me...

It's taking all my restraint to not buy Dark Souls. I'm trying to get caught up on the last two Assassin's Creed games and I have Graces f coming Thursday. Not to mention Witcher 2 and Xenoblade preordered for next month.
