I 2nd (or 3rd) what you've said. Bar none THE best bang for your buck (in the Used Gaming Market...GameFly, that is..). I purchased a GF Membership primarily for the Free Shipping on their Used titles...glad to see the "Nightly Deals" are back, too. Although, I did pretty good for myself in their absence (it seems/seemed like bi-weekly they would drop the price(s) down on 2-3 titles, irregardless). The Nightly Deals, however, are welcomed back with open arms...

Too bad I killed the gamefly sub a while back. Shipping makes this less of a deal so I will pass for now. Backlog is already ginormous anyway.

Thanks for the post Cheapy

Standard shipping was free for me and I don't have a Gamefly sub.

gamefly ps3 games have been awesome for me, but 360 ones, not so much. for 360, i feel bb in-store used 360 games reign supreme. everyone ive bought has been complete/likenew/pristine.

I agree with you on this. I purchase (primarily) PS3 discs via GameFly; the X360 ones, while I've never had any issues with them (aside from Portal 2 a while back, I think???) aren't quite as 'pristine' as those at BB. Also, (and this isn't rocket science) the X360 games which have more 'play' and/or 'miles on them' (like a Portal 2) are gonna have more wear/tear than that of a X360 'Brink', IMHO (or so has been my experience).

Possibly Black Friday at Gamestop? I price matched GS at Wally World around 1am while the rest of the vultures were busy waiting for the WM sale games to come out.

I played about 2 hours of it and the most fun I had with it was the police chase side mission. Otherwise I thought it was more of a racing game and less of an action title. Then again, the last Driver game I played was Driver 2 on the PS1, where you could actually get out of your car and 'commandeer' any vehicle you wanted to use.

I just got bored VERY quickly with Driver. Apparently I'm the only one who didn't like it in this thread though.

Can I beat this? And can someone make Cliffy B play this, so he doesn't create another game with a ing revive me feature?
the difficulty is more in terms of the attention you have to pay while playing...and not just b/c there is no pause in the game. some will say you have to be cautious, and that's true, but the game rewards discipline and control, but it's fun when you get the rhythm down.

the semi-open world exploration with a series of gates and gatekeepers (bosses) always makes me think of zelda. but dark and scary zelda. that kills you. a bunch.

I'd say Gamefly's used games are like new, especially ps3 games. I ordered 5 used games for ps3 (Dead Space 2, Dirt 3, Alice MR, Mortal Kombat, Crysis 2)in the past months and all of them were like new including original cases, manuals , and working online passes.

Don't hesitate, you might miss this opportunity

bought Dark Souls 360 for $7.66 with two $5 coupons, for once I don't feel like a jackass paying for Gamefly (great for some, not for me)

If I get Dark Souls from GameFly, I'm guaranteed a case and manual right?

Explain the new game + with DS... are you a badass on the 2nd or 3rd playthru? Or do the enemies also 'level up' to even the field a bit.

You can't really compare the two - they're quite different. Skyrim is more casual in terms of questing/exploring - sure you run into the occasional giant who tears you a new one early on, but for the most part, it's pretty laid back (comparatively speaking). Dark Souls - each minute you play you're prone to die for not paying close enough attention.

...I didn't see it mentioned, but what are the odds that the CE gets shipped? All of Gamefly's uesd games are normally the first print "limited editions" - i.e. Bulletstorm/Dead Space 2/Dragon Age 2.

Just a thought - I jumped on the deal though. I never beat Demon Souls, but spent a bit of time with it and enjoyed it.

I doubt Gamefly received CE copies.

It's possible as the initial print run was all CE. That said the CE was a steel box, and art book so if Gamefly was able to get non CE copies at release I could see them going that way. We won't know until people start receiving their copies though, but there is still the possibility of getting a CE. Just don't get your hopes up.
