It would be cool of they could just gave you a new sealed copy. Its not like they are going to sell them anytime soon (unless they clearance them for 5$ like those deals from last fall).

In that case, I believe they give you a refund for defective. The only other option is to see if they can order you a replacement through OMS, but I am not sure if they have that option if an item is defective. (I have never worked at BB, so maybe an employee can shed some light on the issue.)

That's my exact situation too. I have the crappiest, slowest DSL you can buy, but that's by choice since I don't feel like paying more than $20 a month for internet access. So if there's an update for a game or the system I'll just switch to tv mode and watch something till that's done.

What bugs me most is that 9 times outta 10 the updates for the PS3 are fluff/crap and don't add anything to my gaming experience. That's why I hate when they say there's an update coming, since that's gaming time I'm never going to get back due to having to download/install the update. The only way to circumvent that is stay off PSN, but I do still play some games online with other people. So it's an unfortunate necessary evil.

Picked up a copy of Homefront for $1.31 at the BB in Bellingham, WA. They had 1 copy left.

If you have Plus, all the updates have already been downloaded for you the next time you turn on your PS3.

which i have found to be really helpful. you can even choose the times in which you want the downloads and syncs to happen. it's been nice especially with how many patches that Call of Duty MW3 gets.

Lol it seems every other week they "tweak" a weapon. First over nerf it, then over buff it, then eventually just bringing it back to its orginal damage. Anyone else find it funny?

I have plus right now(till June thanks to the free codes from Sony and one from a trade here), but I still hate the idea of the system being on when I'm not there to be sure everything is downloading/installing just fine. Knowing my luck the system would get an error at 99% and I'd have to re-download everything anyway.

All those tweaks are probably due to people complaining to the publisher about X or Y weapon being too overpowered or whatever, when it reality it's probably just that they suck at the game.

I've got a quick question, I signed up on the 1st for the March deals. Is there a way to check on my status or not? I haven't and I'd guess maybe won't get my first issue until the May one but I still have all the info from the receipt.

Got home front for $1 something, awesome deal, didn't have Resistance 3 gonna pick it up elsewhere.

You're actually supposed to get the first issue handed to you in the store, as they typically scan that, a barcode in the Gamer's Club Unlocked flyer/pamphlet and your Reward Zone card to link everything together.

Once they do that, the issue they hand you zeroes out on the screen. But they ARE supposed to hand you your first issue in the store when you sign up.

Ah I did get my first issue when I was purchasing the March mag. What I mean to say is I didn't get my first one in the mail yet with the account number and such, it's just a generic store copy.

Any word from Kyle or Mike on the 10% GCU system issue?

For anyone wondering, they offered me a refund on Homefront, but also said that they had two copies coming in, and that I could have one of those. I guess that isn't bad. I will just have to wait, and strike quickly.

Also, I bought Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary pre-owned (By itself) today with the $10 off coupon. He still had to manually add the 10% off, although the guy was really cool, and was happy to do it.

Well I checked a BB in the Twin Cities MN for a copy of Homefront (Xbox360) and they were out even though the site said they had preowned copies "available now".

The gaming specialist said it appeared the site hadn't updated the inventory yet and that Homefront had been selling pretty well ever since the coupons came out. Off to check more MN Best Buy locations this weekend!

Is there a holding period in MN for games that are traded in? Maybe they haven't made it to the shelf yet?
