Actually, it'd be $16.66 for a resell atm. This game is already on sale in Canada for $40 though and I'm sure it'll drop even more fairly quickly. It has only sold 40k copies in NA. In contrast, The Amazing Spider-Man sold 45.5k in its first week alone.

Funny thing is. I bought the collectors edition 1 year ago and still haven;t played it yet, lol.

I don't know how much you played, but I'd agree with the first chunk of play. However, once I hit level 4 things opened up with sub-turns. It added a small layer of strategy that other games lack: move twice, attack twice, or move then attack. That, plus if you add speed bonuses, I could get turns to attack four times. However, the first time I played the Wannabe Hero 1v1 in the dungeon, I got destroyed. (I go straight speed/luck.) I had to tweak my strategy to beat him. And especially when you get more sub-turns and your enemies have the same, I can see the strategy getting ridiculous.

But, the game's pacing plays more like a Wizardry that a typical SRPG. The leveling is slow and requires some grinding (but I also played on Hard and Survivalist/Adventurer). But whenever you get what seems like a small upgrade, you feel a solid difference. I was struggling to beat one practise imp, but then after an hour or so I could get the 5 or 7 imp parties easily. Also, leveling the skills individually gives it a Disgaea-vibe, and so does the 999 level counter, not as ridiculous as 9999, obviously.

At any rate, I'm glad I supported the company and production team. This could be a solid title and for twelve bucks, I can see the hours of fun per dollar spent reaching Disgaea levels at least for me. But it is pretty niche in that you'd likely need to be a Wizardry fan, and probably a Disgaea-ish fan to like it. Demo would be the best for most people. I see a tonne of potential thus far, and I haven't gotten to alchemy/crafting or even really scratched the surface. The website/leaderboards are a nice touch, too.

Also, just talking about it makes me want to go hop on and play it some more.
