Folks, can anyone explain the concept of phantoms to me? :$

Selling Mass Effect 3 resellable share, $20.

Created a Lego Pirates account. Looking for 2 phantoms. 3.50 per.

Phantoms can only download once, can't resell the account (i.e., can't get their money back), and they only pay 1/6th of the price instead of 1/3rd of the price. Bad idea if you're planning to upgrade your hard drive anytime soon or if you want to get some money back on your investment, or if you're worried about your PS3 dying. Good idea if you want to pay half the price you would otherwise pay.

Looking for a share of GoW Origins Collection if anyone has a slot available.

Thanks! But, how are the account activations managed? I mean with the 2 active consoles at one given time. Does the group arrange times on who will play when?

Nope, it has to do with remote de-activations, if my understanding is correct (still waiting on someone to verify that my post above is correct). If that's the case, then what happens is that after the phantoms download the game(s), then the host will de-activate the account from their PS3's remotely, and since the de-activation is done remotely, their PS3's will never know about the de-activation unless they log into that account again. And since they don't need to log into that account again (just keep it there on their PS3's without ever accessing it again), the game(s) they downloaded remain active.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm tired of phantom groups. The last 3 shares I have been in have been disastrous. Very long wait times. The resells have to pay the most and wait the longest, it's not fair. Waiting almost a week after paying is unacceptable. I say there needs to be a system in place when a group is formed. If your gonna host or be a phantom download in a timely manner, if your a host and not gonna be able to put a share in a resells hands within 24-48 hours don't host and waste the groups time, really. Same for phantoms, if your not gonna be able to download within 24 hrs cause your going out of town or something don't buy a share. I think what should be done is a time frame. If your gonna host you have to be completed within 48 hrs, and if your a phantom you have 24 hrs to complete download. And if your the phantom and you can't within 24 hrs a refund will be issued by host and next phantom in line takes it, etc.

Received payment for the Castlevania: Harmony of Despair group from both resellable users, now just waiting for payment from Cwinters for his phantom share.

I decided to go ahead and make the purchase to get this going a bit faster, and so I can get my phantom download out of the way right away. As soon as Cwinters pays, I will give him the login info, and as soon as he's done, I'll do the deactivations and pass the account info on to the resellers. I'll be checking this thread and my PM's frequently, so we can get this game in the hands of everybody involved as soon as Cwinters hops online and does his part.

In the meantime, just quoting my post again from the previous page, can anyone who has hosted before verify this for me quick?:

Cwinters paid, and I've sent him the account info to download. Mixer236 and Randomdud, you will get account info tonight probably, as soon as Cwinters is finished downloading is when I'll do the two phantom remote-deactivations and send the account info to you both.
