All this talk recently of Sacred 2 makes it sound like something I should be interested in.

That's the question to ask yourself.

Sacred 1: Gold + Sacred 2: Gold are pretty good ARPG's, if you ask me.

I guess you can call me a late bloomer to the RPG genre in general, but much like braunschweiger I have definitely grown a taste for it as I have aged; especially ARPGs. I just watched a few vids of this and well...it's now added to my wishlist. Thanks for the recommends.

Damn ... they could at least provide an update on the Bethesda keys ...

Do you own or have you played Sacred Gold? It was in IndieGala 8 and copies should be floating around for cheap to hold you over.

Nope. I actually wasn't even aware of "bundles" until last November, so I appreciate the heads up. I'll see what I can dig up...

Yeah, IG8 sold for less than $2 for the entire bundle, so I wouldn't pay more than maybe $1 for Sacred Gold by itself personally. Hopefully you find someone reasonable that will hook you up.

The only thing about the Sacred games (Sacred 1 + 2)...
...is they can be a royal pain-in-the-butt to get properly running on PC's.

Those games are known for technical issues (performance issues; CTD's; freezes; etc); bugs; and even broken quests.

IIRC Sacred Gold has been in the Indie Gala store for $1 a couple times as well.

Thanks all. I picked up Sacred Gold for $1 from the Steam B/S/T thread. Even knowing it was bundled I feel a little too cheap asking for <$1 from an individual, so that price was A-OK with me.

Finally I was refunded with REAL MONEY, but no discount yet... GamersGate!!! Why??
Btw, are the sales this poor on GamersGate at the beginning of the year?

Sales at GamersGate are often poor in general. Which was the whole thing during the IGN fiasco -- without the 15% boost (or pricing error), it was very rare that GG had a price worth being interested in anyway.

The 15% helped and even the 5%+5% thing sometimes pushed it over the line but the base prices and discounts usually aren't anything to get excited about.

They're out of money, STALKER may be a good sale. But without the discount it's the same price of the winter sale.

This. Their dailies and midweeks and weeklies tend to range from typical (basically repeats of sales you've seen elsewhere) to underwhelming. There's always the occasional exception, but usually it's the combination of a discount that puts them over the edge - that or the games you can only buy on GG going on sale.

The recent Chivalry sale was $7.50 after 20% so again it was the discount that put the four pack over the edge into good sale territory.

I wonder if we'll ever see these Bethesda keys. :P

Well, it IS the middle of January..Maybe they are holding out in hopes people will ask for refund instead. wouldn't surprise me. Trying to prey on impatience
