Also, for those into Strategy JRPGs (like Disgaea), I just found Record of the Agarest War Zero for the 360 is also $15.99 on Newegg!

Record of the Agarest War Zero (360) - $15.99

I might pick it up later on today, but for now ToV is enough

Tempted on Rise of Nightmares, even though I heard it wasn't very good, I still wanna give it a try. Not that long ago it was 19.99 and it dropped again. I think I'll wait for the 9.99 price point.

Yes there is a TOV for PS3 which came with more content than the 360 version. It contains more quests, items, additional voice script and new playable characters. But it was only released in Japan....only in Japan.

On a side note i went to my local Kmart last week during their clearance sale and found TOV for xbox 360 for 9.99+ tax.

It's pretty different to me, I mean it's a Tales game yes, but there's no world map in ToG and the battle system is fairly different. At first I didn't like the ToG battle system but now that I have a lot more artes, more CC points and mastered dodging and chaining insane arte combos I think I actually like the ToG battle system better.

Yup, it's new. I got Beautiful Katamari from them not too long ago & it was about the same price. Still sealed up & everything when I got it, so I assume the same applies for ToV.

Good to know - I feel the same about the battle system. I'm glad it gets better!

As far as presentation, graphics, cutscenes - seems similar enough w/a different story.

Thanks for the info. I remember reading something like this in the game fourms and people were going crazy over the fact it was going to be on ps3. I hear great things about ToV but i never played one yet. Lets hope it will reach to the U.S. someday.

I was able to get ToV! I picked up ToS last night at GS, do I need to play that first or are all these stories self-contained?

They're self contained, pick one and start playing.

I bought ToV I think 3 years ago on black friday for $15...it's still sealed. I'll open it up and play it someday. I hear it's great anyway.

Tales is amazing, I also love how they incorporated a simplistic multiplayer function just in case you have a friend over.

Especially considering GameStop wants $40 used, I had to get in on this. Kind of kicking myself for skipping on it at a pawn shop for $10 a couple of months back; didn't think it was rare. Also picked up Earth Defense: IA for $11.99, and a copy of EDF:2017 off EBay for $15. God, my wallet hates CAG. Me & my wallet tend to disagree alot lol. I'm just curious now on how long TOV will stay in stock.

No. These are just the PS2 versions running at higher internal resolution. I'm pretty sure they didn't upgrade the textures or anything.
