Yea it is. I think they are banking on the RE6 demo that comes with this to get most of its sales. With how quickly RE5 went to $20 after its release I dont even think anyone cares about RE anymore.

I believe RE5 was the best selling RE game of all time (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Residen...oads_and_sales). And the trailer for 6 is pretty hypetastic. Really not the worst thing to bank on. Besides, I thought preliminary looks at Dragon's Dogma by reviewers were pretty favorable, no?

doesn't matter, average consumers don't know wtf dragons dogma is and will ignore it like a red headed step child. it will be 20 bucks by the end of summer. Capcom marketing blows donkey dick

I really want this game though and I probably will get it day one to support it. The demo was really fun and the concept alone is fantastic.

That's awesome. I still need to try out the demo. I just been playing through my backlog. Haven't had time to play it. Just finished Shattered Dimensions. It was pretty good.

No fry's near me. I'm getting this on release at BBY and I'm sure it'll drop further within the 30 days, though.

i was about to get this from radioshack(lol, i know, burning my credit i made that one day) with my 10 off 40 coupon, but it says no videogame hardware/software. ugh.

i hate capcom with a passion so much tho. you know they will re release this with extra crap contained. like they will re orc 'complete' ugh.
i read a news thing from capcom where they said they know people are upset about locked ingame dlc because of the streetfighterXtekken game, but this was already how the game was going to be so they can't take the ingame dlc out to sell us later. ugh
i know that is how the industry is, and it isnt like activision is rushing to get maps to us and delivering them as they are made, but it feels better when american companies lie to us or something. having capcom think the problem is locked ingame dlc when its any dlc that should be freaking included in the game at time of release. argh. lost my train of thought. peace cags

I though the DD demo sucked. I'm hopeful for ghost recon but not to bite before release.

I didn't like the demo either. I cancelled my preorder after playing it.

I don't know, the demo was fun. It looks like a good game.

Consumer awareness is more important than quality insofar as the price is concerned. This game wasn't advertised well and it's being released during a lull in gaming, too.

Because it is a new IP and many reviews constantly say Skyrim and Dark Souls is better. But I will buy this on day one since I throughly enjoyed the demo.

Also it is being released after Diablo 3.

Wow. I was one of those who tried the demo and didn't like it. These videos detail a lot of good things about the game that you can't (or that I didn't, anyways) get from just playing the demo. The videos do such a better job of marketing the game. It's too bad they didn't choose to spend more marketing dollars to get more people aware of this game.

If you like it, more power to you but all the mundane menu jockeying wore me out. I'll stick to my other RPGs.

I had placed an order with Amazon for release day shipping and read this. I'm glad I did, Dragon Dogma is not the best sounding western title. I agree that this will be $19.99 within 4-6 months. I can wait.
