They are in danger of being de-listed from the NY stock exchange which would limit the amount of money they can raise due to an inability to sell stock. Their current stock price is merely .71 a share. By buying their stock we could raise their stock price and ensure their financial existence! 7.10 buys 10 shares so every little bit would help. I own stock in the company. They are going to do a reverse split to avoid delisting. If the company is delisted its much worse than you suggest. Delisting = bankruptcy. THQ has 100 million dollars in convertible debt due in 2014. If they are delisted from the Nasdaq, the debt becomes due immediately. That would force liquidation.
Don't worry, they aren't going out of business by the time south park RPG is due to be released. That said, you need to recognize that investing in them right now is no better than gambling. You could lose nearly all your investment but if they turn the company around, you could easily make 1000% (or more) profit. |
