So now all of sudden when trying to burn cds using windows media player it gives an error message.

Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct.

It goes from 0 to 99% complete in like 5 seconds. You dont get the error message until you put the blank cd back in.

Worked fine last week. only thing different is I had to upgrade AMG anti-virus.

Tried using iTunes but that doesnt even start now after I downloaded the update for that!

Ugh, PCs should not be this complicated.

That's what the majority of the forums I found on Google said to do. What version of Windows are you running?

It's when I'm trying to burn files, not playing them. Oddly enough, playing them works fine. I'll read through those suggestions tomorrow.

Who knows what the hell version of windows this is. It's not like Win 95 where it told you so when you pressed the start button.

When I searched for the message, most of the articles I came across were about playback, and the message is the same so I'd bet they're related.

I'll try to dig a little deeper if you find out that didn't help.

EDIT: We can talk over an instant messenger or something if you still need help tomorrow. I should be around at some point.
